New Assassin's Creed game coming out next year. They're worse than sports games, a new one every damn year, it's not surprising that their games are full of bugs. Didn't Unity just come out?

It looks fantastic. The franchise has been a bit stale for a while but this looks so great ;_;

I like the fact that they're going to different environments (Caribbean, North America, France, England etc). What I absolutely HATE is that the quality of AC has been sooooooooooo lacking as of late so ubisoft can pump out another unpolished, almost incomplete AC game. It's sad really, the assassin's creed games used to have a good reputation (at least to me. idk if you guys have heard differently about I, II, ACR & ACB).

I personally loved AC IV: Black Flag, but more so for the amazing open world and setting than the story. I haven't played this year's games yet, and AC III was boring as hell. Revelations was kinda meh but AC II and AC II: Brotherhood were sensational. Yeah, a game per year (or more) is too much but I still like this series.

Does anyone care about this franchise anymore? Plus, remember its Ubisoft, dont trust the screenshots and trailers.

I care about this franchise. Actually I'm high on it now. After AC III I thought I was done but Black Flag was brilliant. Best in the series IMO. I enjoyed Unity, despite it's technical issues. Not as much as IV but it was good. This is an awesome setting and hopefully it'll be more polished than Unity. I'm excited. That said, if taking a year off helps makes this a better game I'm for that. I wouldn't mind them using 2015 to just port Rogue to PS4/One and give this team more time.

Wasn't it originally meant to be just a trilogy? It's just a money factory now, since ACII.

I was so captured by the story, until the end of ACII, and then it all went to shit and I stopped caring about it.

Am I the only one who enjoys the irony in this game being called Victory after the last Assassin's Creed made Ubisoft stock numbers fall? Like this is the one they were going for with Unity bringing everyone together in hating Ubisoft

It's sad to say but Assassin's Creed is going in a bad direction IMO and this is coming from someone who has been a loyal AC fan from the first one back in 2007. AC 1-3 were brilliant, despite the massive "fuck you" to the fans at the end of the third one. After AC3 it just goes downhill from there, with the exception of Black Flag and that in and of itself is pretty meh. No modern story progression, new games being released yearly (In this case 2 per year, Rogue and Unity), and a general lack of quality control are what's wrong with the franchise today and it's sad to see Ubisoft taking this approach with such a powerful story behind it. One person summarized Unity quite nicely, "Looks like Ubisoft is really taking the crown from EA. With an abundance of glitches, framerate issues, and microtransactions in an already full price game, Ubisoft has gone off the deep end.

Pay $99.99 to fill in the rest of the face!"

Yeah, why the hell did they do that? To tell us "all our decisions after this will be completely random and not make sense- much like this ending..."

They were doing everything pretty well and then they just jumped the shark. There was really no recovering the story after that.

I waited until this past week to start Unity. The worst thing about Unity, because I've become quite a completionist when it comes to single player games, is the stupid ass companion app required to unlock chests in the game. Every time it disconnects and I have to re enter my password it resets current mission timers. A 4 hour mission took 24 hours due to restarting. The only way around this that I can see is to not bring my phone with me to work. Its annoying as hell though that the timers don't tick down if you're not logged into the damn app. They need to fix that shit asap. (honestly it shouldn't even be tied into the main game, imo)

I'm hyped about it! I just got AC4 when I got the xbone bundle and I love it! I haven't played unity yet though.

Edit: also since this takes place in the Victorian age it will interesting to see how they spin historical figures like the royal family or Jack the Ripper.
