What's new

Did the 90`s suck?

Right, but in the 90s there was no method of catching up if you missed it. There were no spoilers. It was a ritual to watch those cartoons. In the 2000s the internet was fast enough to download content or see synopsis of shows.

Kids now have a harder time being imaginative outdoors, at least in my area. I see it all the time teaching. Socially, kids have a hard time finding a game to play as a group.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. Original movies died off after this... now they don't put any effort. We used to have all kinds of really funny stuff by eddie murphy and all these other guys. Not to mention hell raiser, chucky, lepperchaun, army of darkness, the list goes on and on.

Whenever I look back into the past, there seems to be much more life and excitement "then" than "now".

It's like there's nothing going on nowadays.

Hell nah. 90s had like the best cartoons, rivaled by the early 00s. Dude saying 80s had better cartoons is crazy.

90s was also the rise of electronic music. I wish Jungle is as big now as it was then. Hip hop was also better.
90's hiphop FTW.

What happened is that technology was crude and new. But everything doubled in speed every year or two, then got smaller and smaller. So everything is kind of a blur now, and no one is making anything boldly new. No one realizes that your android phone is now faster than a PC from the early 2000's. The thing that happened next was bizarre, new kids started showing up and they just didn't have the kind of aggressive (Metal ;)) nature that we had. It's almost like they all started being born more sensitive and the music available didn't help you guys at all. To really understand what happened you gotta go back man. Watch heavy metal.. lol. Then watch some beavis and butthead and some aeon flux (cartoons). Play some games that were in 2d. Talk to people who may seem strange to look at, older people.

Early 90's here, the 90's were the shit. Cartoons were dope, you didn't hear about sex or violence whenever you indulged in any form of media and everyone pissed rainbows. There's no stupid hobby/trend associated with the 90's unlike every other decade.

00's = Soulja boy and "reality t.v"
10's = Skrillex and skinny jeans... fucking planking
80's= terrible clothing and this...
70's= Disco... afros....

I know i'm missing some things, help me out.

90's was pretty terrible for comics in general. Some good stuff but a multitude of shit.

That's some real heavy cases of nostalgia.

Dude, kids don't even go outside any more. Cyber space is their playground.

You're right. The only time they actually venture out is during power outages.
Luckily I was one of those smart kids that used computers, but went out to party on the weekends and do stuff (non-electronic) with friends during the week.

The 90's had good bands, good tv shows, good movies, good video games, Mortal Kombat came into existence then. I used to listen to Nirvana while they still existed.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention... kids who used to buy chemistry sets and electronic componets at radio shack were called 'nerds'. Now they aren't called anything, because there aren't any (that I know of), and if they're found -they're a threat to national security. Freedom was something we didn't even have to think about back then, we just did whatever we wanted. Now everything seems to have greater than needed consequences and over reactions.
