This works mid-screen. Corner is stance specific.
thats just retarded then, cus in the corner, the 2,4,spin is not stance specific, but in the middle of the screen it is, and with this is the opposite? wtf...this is just plain ol dumb.

It happens midscreen aswell, probably its char dependent. It happens against kitana, and I guess it happens against the other female chars in the game. Both chars have to be with the same leg ahead (ie.: both with left leg ahead) otherwise the hat will miss.

will have to check on this, specially with the ladies.
weird, never happened to me mid screen....

also, maybe you should repost this on the glitch report section, as STORMS reposted my post there, probably gets more attention :)

Ya this is def stance specific in the corner, I've had it happen to me a few times. They really need to fix stance specific 2, 4 combos. Its ridiculous that 2, 4, Spin is STILL stance specific.
 
deathgun's right. misses against all female characters mid-screen except for sheeva. also 24 hat in corner against sheeva-stance doesn't matter (obviously neither miss b/c of her hitbox lol)

just re-affirming it

seems like this cant be all in one thread lol, so ill qoute what i posted on the other one :)

ok, the glitch also happens mid screen, but what is weird is that it only happens to all the females, minus sheva.
thanks to deathgun for pointing out that it does do it against kitana mid screen.
so i made another video about it, and included all females minus sheva, as proof.
hope nrs is taking notice, and hopefully they will correct this, as it does not happens with any male character mid screen, only females.

 
I like the thought of the free jump in by releasing it early.

This is exactly the sort of cleverness that I'm glad KL actually needs now.

Out of 100 views 1 person replied. I was starting to think the community didnt like my ideas. Usually when you release the ex low hat the opponant ALWAYS freezes up and i just jump in. But i recently found out you can hold the ex hat after a round finishes. I thought maybe the kl kommunity could think of a use for this because it puts you at an advantage once the next round starts.

is not that we dont like it, but is not practical half the time.
PL did it against TB at PDP a while back.... looks amazing when done properly, but the practical side of it, just not there, at least for me it aint.
the rest? well they just HATE KL lol

I guess your right but the only time i use ex is for low hats n teleports. His xray is amazing probably one of the best but i personally hate wasting 3 bars to pull off a combo i could make with one. I always use ex for setups or combos no matter what character. KLs damage is pretty shit though so i dont always use the ultimate hat only if i know ill win.

while ill agree KLs damage is shit compared to before, but i can to 47 mid and 52 corner of 1 bar.

i also dont like doing xrays, and if i must, he has to win the match and or a last resort deal.

The ex low hat is okay in some setups but against a competent player wasting 1 bar on for example a safe jump setup could cost you the round since meter usage is critical in winning the match. Most of my meter usage is dedicated to breakers and ultimate hat in combos, i rarely and almost never spend two bars in a combo, x-ray is only if its gonna finish them off.

If you're sitting at 3 bars I don't see a reason not to spend one on a great tool like this. EX low hat into a block string means you're doing like 12% guaranteed damage for under half a bar.
 
i have combos that use that string, thats why, and is a glitch, and should be fixed like you said ;)
Only in juggles though right? You could do way more damage for the same or no meter if you're comboing into that against someone standing. Does this glitch happen against a juggled opponent?

One thing is consistent. When the characters head is facing down, the hat passes the "side of face". When they are upright, it hits their chest. The same thing happens in the first corner video against Subzero. It looks like one of those 3D models in 2D plane things. IMO its not a glitch, it just looks weird.
 
id agree if it was stance specific, but now that its known that all females are immune to it and not the males?
it has to be...i dont see it any other way.
To be fair there are hit box issues prevalent in a lot of characters. JC's ex force ball trap doesn't work on ermac mid screen and reptile anywhere. F32 ex force ball whiffs on all the girls in the corner. His sweep d1 used to be stance specific before they patched it out. Sektor's hitbox is actually smaller when he's crouch blocking than when he's neutral crouching.

but if its not a glitch, why does this happens only on the girls on mid screen? why not the games? they are of similar stature.
id be thinking that they use the same hitbox data on all the females, kinda like what they did with all the ninjas back in the day lol

i dont know, i honestly think this was not supposed to be this way.

I'm not saying you shouldn't use it but for myself in my playstyle I like to stick close to my opponent, use the meter in more of a SF4 way with using the breaker like a fadc, I take the risk to do something not safe maybe catch you but if not i get punished and break it.

Nah, don't think that way... people like me look for videos too so keep that in mind. I know very little about KL so reading this... I don't know enough to make a post... pretty much. ;)

you can also use it when people are on the ground, you can oki safely, but by setting up n ex low hat, you can also make the opponent think youre going to pressure him on wakeup, while you are actually going to block, so this can give u an opportunity to block a wakeup and punish with full combo. but ofcourse you can also pressure opponents without getting punished on wakeup with full combo. so it grants KL a pretty safe wakup situation.
