Which players at tournament Reek and Stink? A call to Arms on the war against BO

Going to tournaments has been an awesome experience and look forward to many many more in the future

But LBSH this needs to be addressed

Long ago at my first tournament one of the first negative things I noticed was the lack of personal responsibility among players Hygiene. This involved Players not just in the MK scene but all in FGC. Im currently not playing any other FG so lets focus on the MK community first

When you go to Grassroot tourneys there needs to be an understanding that your day will be gone, youll be there all day and most likely the next which is a good thing and extremely enjoyable but what hinders this experience is having to play some ignorant ass who doesnt understand proper body hygiene.

Feel free to call anyone out personally or make comments of experiences in general in this thread and i suggest this be mentioned on OBS show DarKNaTaS jamessmk as a wake up call to those who have low standards of health and hygiene.

From now on I vow to call that person out personally in front of everyone at next tourney if he/she has not learned proper etiquette of using deodorant.

Sorry but it needed to be said (Thinking of posting on SRK for all the MAH-VELS) lol

There was somebody at Dallas that had a god-awful smell emitting from his person. I can't remember what he looked like but he smelled like...damn

Sometimes really really bad days happen, so I think it should be reserved for consistent offenders. I've went to 1 day tournaments literally last second where I didn't have time to prepare and ended up smelling a little ripe at the end, it happens. I think if you're staying somewhere, at least take the effort to shower once or twice though.

Showering and Applying Deodorant should be a daily ritual for all

if this isnt happening then we have bigger problems

I agree 1000%. Just saying sometimes its good to let people have a little leeway because shit happens. Example - People have said Chef has stunk before, but you said you have roomed with him many times and he hasn't, so maybe it was just a bad day/weekend? Just being real about it, no excuses, it shouldn't be done, but the world is full of "shouldn't be dones".

Pretty much my philosophy on it, lmao. You know people have to be aware that they aren't smelling too fresh, and no one should hate it more than themselves. I don't think people should be verbally "chastised" for smelling bad at a given moment. We have all smelled bad before, probably in less than desirable situations. Just saying, people are prone to fuck up. However if its a repeat offender, then I believe there is a problem. Just have to take things into consideration imo.

There is no worse a crime than someone that stinks.

Okay, if they work at a job that is quite physical, then yeah, at the end of a 8 hour shift, that is understandable, but i've worked with people that stink of BO, first thing in the morning.

It's unforgivable, but they're probably depressed and have let them selves go.

Perhaps we should hug smelly people more? As foul as that sounds, they would become happier and seek out that roll on the next time they are shopping...

There should be one person hired at each major to do absolutely nothing but walk around and taking occasional sniffs through their nose. And if that person runs into someone who stinks:

Proceeds to Old Spice / Axe the absolute HELL out of them! I'm not talking about just a quick spray. I'm talking about something more along the lines of this:
