First character I try out is definitely going to be Superman. And then Batman. In the end, however, I think I'm going to make my pick based on who's the most fun to play. Hopefully, it's a character I like. In MK9, my favorite character ended up being the one who's gameplay I enjoy the most, luckily. =P

Red Hood and/or the Outlaws also need to be in. His latest run in the New 52 has been rather awesome.

I rather doubt watchmen characters will be in, since they are not in the main DCU

Theres a chance that they might use the characters which they are based off

Dr. Manhattan: Captain Atom
Rorschach: The Question
Nite-Owl: Ted Kord Blue Beatle (although if they put BB in there, I think they would opt in for Jaime)
Silk Spectre: Nightshade (doubt it)/ Black Canary (more plausible)
The Comedian: Peacemaker (very unlikely)
Ozymandias: Thunderbolt (also very unlikey)

See that's what concerns me. I'm not too big on the DC universe. I love the Watchmen though. The graphic novel and movie were great.

Man if I get just 1 character from Stormwatch in this game it would awesome, but preferably Martian Manhunter, Midnighter, or Apollo!

haha the graphic novel, was a triumph of modern literature...the movie...not so much

I feel like if they decide to add watchmen characters in the game (which again, is very unlikely) it would unleash a shitstorm of epic proportions within the comics community.

Every comicnerd in the world took a collective ragedump on their pants when they announced the "Before Watchmen" prequel (Now in a comic store near you!) because, some legal issues involving Alan Moore aside, they felt like making any sort of spin-off devalued the impact of the original story...imagine if those characters were used in a fighting game!

LOL. Luckily for me I seen the movie before I read the graphic novel, so it wasn't so bad. If the situation was reversed, then I probably would of hated the movie. I have never heard of "Before the Watchmen." I don't know if you're joking or not so I'm gonna google this...

No, I'm serious DC recently decided to take a risk and "explore" the watchemen universe with a series of limited stories involving the characters of Whatchmen and what they were doing in the whole time before the events in "watchmen" transpired

*sigh* You're right. I don't know how I feel about that, but they did get some big names in the comic world to work on it. Who knows.

The Flash simply cause he fits the bill for characters I like to use in fighting games. Fast and aggressive. Batman would be second since I actually know something about him, his allies and his villains. Yeah most of the other DC characters including Flash I know almost nothing about them
