Who do you think is Bottom 5?

I don't think there is a bottom 5 for tourney viability as much as there is a bottom 5 for character knowledge, knowing what they're capable of and proper representation.

Especially after the last patch.

F2 is 15f and b2 is 19f startup, neither of those are like 10frames and they are in fact slow, especially for punishing.

Ruthless has an 11f grab, but I'll concede that those punishes aren't great, ruthless is the way to go for punishing these days.

One thing for sure and I know this is not really fair to compare, but I say bottom 5 of this game would beat bottom 5 off MK9

Thats not how the character works though, if you play all three variations of Ferra Torr we probably only lose to two characters. Any one tool a variation is lacking for a match up is covered by one of the other ones.

Read my post i specifically mentioned my argument on variation matchups vs character matchups. Not trying to say your wrong but just read what i wrote. Ruthles ft is far and away from bottom 5 with new png and lackey is my bottom 6 because grapplers dont play mkx but he gets punish damage with ex tor up so he isnt as bad as vicious.

I think Milleena is underrated. I would swap her out with Jacqui. It's just hard to do a bottom five with all these buffs given out recently.

you can get around 30-35% for a b2,b2,b2 starter and ending with a standing4~tele it ends with a standing reset where scorpion is plus, or you could end with the low,mid,overhead string and get slightly more like 1-3% i think (i forget the inputs right now) which isn't bad, not saying it is. I played a little ninjutsu on launch because i played scorpion in mk9 and really like the character. And i tried him again recently, he isn't bad. But i feel like most the cast outclasses this variation in particular

either way, my list would be

1. Jason
2. Kenshi
3. Jacqui
4. Goro
5. Mileena

this is actually kind of hard to truly decide and that list is mostly because I either don't know enough about the char, or they're too honest in a game where the rest of the cast is super strong or better. This game is honestly pretty balanced in actuality as most of these chars are even somewhat okay, and the chars that are a bit higher than them on the tiers aren't much better.

only characters I would possibly change on this list are goro + mileena as I don't know enough about them and goro could potentially be better after the patch but I've done literally nothing with him. I think a better list might actually be of the bottom 5 worst variations as that could really look like 5 characters that are 100% useless and never going to win anything.

Only way to truly determine things like this is to figure out every MU and compare. A character can have good tools and have too many bad Mus to be considered top.

Still a fun discussion to have, but people need to stop getting salty lol.

i'd like to know the combo you're doing then, mine is b2,b2,b2 jik~tele, 21~spear, S4~tele 33% and ending with the reset. f2 is the same thing, just starting with f2 instead of b2, i think that's like 34 or 35 or something. And i find those hard to land simply because whiffs are uncommon in my experience and i find it more practical to start combos with 11~spear as a punish on unsafe blocked attacks, which that combo looks something like 11~spear, b2,b2,b2 jik, 21~spear with will end with the knockdown and deal something like 27-29 i don't remember off the top of my head.

This is just a for fun character to me, i do enjoy him but i still feel like he is weak compared to other mid tier and of course the high tier characters. Putting him in the bottom five was probably wrong, but i don't think he's anywhere above the middle of mid tier. Course he can still do very well when piloted by a good player. This is all just my opinion from what i can personally do with the character

Also these people clamoring and bitching that this isn't a bottom 5 variation list. Got news for you, the reason why this is probably an overall character bottom 5 list is that each of the 5 have ZERO variations that are tournament viable in the game

do 123 teleport b2 b2 run cancel 21 spear JIP S4 teleport, i believe that is about 39 or 40% also starting with B2 you can get in 4 B2s, and 35% off a F2 sounds about right

I just don't think Ferra Torr or anyone should be looked at that way in this game, there are variations for a reason

If you say a character is bottom tier you better have the justification to say why. Mileena is not bottom tier and this is coming from her entire community, not just one deranged individual. Most people here don't even know her ethereal fade frames. If you don't know these, please don't comment on the character. She will fuck you up.

Not sure where all this Mileena hate is coming from. Once you get the hang of enhancing roll for mixups and using telekick to punish jumping, she's a versatile character that can deal tons of damage.

Slow strings, bad projectile, huge hitbox, all his specials are punishable. He does have great pokes and a really fast command grab plus multi hit armor on punchwalk is nice . its not impossible to win with him by any means, but its an uphill battle in almost every fight. He is below average overall. But pretty fun to play.

Uuuuuuh his projectiles aren't bad and his specials that you'd use outside of combos aren't punishable.
