This actually does bug me a bit.

Like we in the F/T community are still finding new stuff with our character.
Why is it suddenly assumed everyone else knows our position before we do? Dumb topic is dumb.

Like I could say some things and I'd bet no one barring other F/T players would know about it.
Our MU numbers are still in flux, but its looking like between all 3 variations we lose to exactly 2 characters and thats all.
But ya know, bottom 5 and all. Community knows best.

They've obviously never been wrong about a big bodied armor clad grappler being bottom 5 for most of the game's life, even after game changing buffs.

This is why it is all opinion base and why i wanted to start the topic, to see where people think characters stand and weather or not there is more to said characters that apparently suck, i would love to take down ferra/torr from my bottom 5 list. what are your reasons for thinking he is good? since when i labbed with him i saw a slow bulky character with mediocre at best pressure and less than average zoning

Look at the Reptile Invisibility Parry.
Now imagine doing that for free, and getting a damage buff, and being able to do it in combos. Double-dipping or triple-dipping into the damage boost.
A lot of his moves have variable advantage based around animation timing, like he has a move thats +10 from a distance further than sub-zero's slide. Happens in about 12 frames.
Can't be parried, a lot of his moves can't be block broken either, has OH/Low and a lot of those moves leave him at heavy advantage.

Good meterless damage, great spacing tools, a variation for every occation, he has AA options now, he has options against certain characters now...
He went from losing 9-1 to Shinnok to going 5-5 in just this most recent patch.

I could go on, but that takes away from the topic at hand.

For anyone new to this forum, let me break it down for you: all 3 of these people are perfectly happy to get into an insane argument with you about a character's tools (without any context of the rest of the cast) only to silently get blown up later and switch to high tier characters as secondaries once the meta evolves and people actually bother learning the trash matchups.

Espio:
MK9: mained Jade and Stryker; insisted that they were viable. Famously argued that Jade-Kenshi is "only" 3-7 before going 0-5 vs. pig in the Jade Gauntlet. Switched to Kitana.
Injustice: mained Hawkgirl. Insisted she was perfectly fine. Quietly switched to MMH.
MKX: mains Goro.

Saltface:
Injustice: mained Harley and insisted she was viable until bad matchups started piling up, then conveniently picked up Doomsday.
MKX: so far has mained Mileena but has desperately switched variations at least twice in the last month as NRS keeps taking things away from her. Already needed Cassie to bail him out not even 6 months into the game's life.

BEENEEWEENEES:
MK9: famous Kano up player. Used to go to "Battle and Brew" in Atlanta and do well when pig wasn't around. Frequently claimed that Kano vs. Kenshi was something like 5-5/4-6 (L O L), and that the character was fine, even after Tom Brady recorded a video of Kano getting punished for even attempting pressure. He eventually quietly admitted on TYM that Kano doesn't stand a chance vs. Kenshi.
MKX: guess he's maining F/T now and starting the same ol' story.

Point being: there's no use arguing with these guys. They'll run you around in circles with nonsensical arguments until you get tired/bored. Just wait to see what they end up doing later in the game's life -- IMO that shows a character's viability much better than their words do.

It's funny how f/t is bottom 5 for The majority because " I don't really Know much about them"

I doubt that they are still bottom 5 After The Patch. With The png cancel ruthless became pretty strong with their pressure beside the fact that their zoning tools were always pretty good. I'm Not saying they're top 10 material But After some more time I can see them to be mid tier in future. You should definitely check out honeybees stream vs biohazard from a few days ago.

It's impossible to say who is bottom 5 after this patch (except Goro. Yes he sucks).
We need a bit of time.

Yes , in MKX , even ''Low Tier'' considered Characters can win (it just needs more work) , look at YOMI's Stream how Reo beats top Players with Top Chraracters using Jason.
Before anyone point at ''Reo'' and says ''its the Player and not the Character'' i can say in return - get good and improve like he does.

I haven't posted in this thread cause I find bottom five threads dumb and pointless, but as soon as I saw you tag me I knew you'd be on that dank kush and low and behold, you definitely were XD.

Lol, I see we're doing the thirsty historical revisionism this morning. This troll only works for people who actually did those things. Even in 2011, I was saying Stryker and Jade were bottom five and you can go look up posts if you don't believe. I only used Stryker and Jade at offline tournaments. Lol @ "switched to Kitana" implying I used her ever in any offline competitive environment that matters. Not allowed to main low tier and use better characters casually, check.

"Famously argued" lmfao gurrrl you are foolish. The match up was 8-2 or 9-1, but a FT5 doesn't determine a match up so your point is both dumb and nonsensical.

Never used Martian in tournament loololol. Only used Hawkgirl. Not allowed to use anybody other than your main even casually or you "quietly" switched lol. KIT & UFGT plus locals only Hawkgirl.

For MKX, I'll take more Goro buffs, I don't really care lol. I don't need to bitch when everyone else does it for me, even people who know nothing about the character :p. Why you mad cause you were wrong and got corrected? No need to throw false shade home girl.


Conclusion: Take several seats/Bye Felicia/Stay Free to Goro, Hawkgirl, and Stryker lol.

Jason
Mileena
Kenshi

The great thing about this game is that even the bottom 5 are dangerous.

Before the patch, anyone losing to Mileena likely just did not know the matchup.

Online is a different story because even if you reacted to the single respectable OH she has, sometimes it will just hit you anyway.

She has a huge amount of strings, but all of them are defended exactly the same way unless she has meter to cancel them into overheads in the middle, in which case she has access to a couple 50/50s, all of which are full punishable.

F3 being a true low crush and B12 being plus on block are HUGE buffs that they kinda downplayed in the stream. She's probably not bottom 5 anymore due to those two things, but's she's probably mid to low mid.

B/c I look at the character list and... Jacqui doesn't feel bottom 5 anymore (At least not in Shotgun and Full Auto). So the only one I would switch Kano with is Jason. Everyone else feels not bottom 5 to me. And like it's been stated in this thread already, bottom 5 doesn't necessarily mean bad.

I think the top 10 could use some nerfing and then the game would be incredibly balanced.

That's about right.
Even though choosing a bottom 5 is difficult(a good thing), I still believe Mileena is around the bottom 5-7. She definitely isn't top 5 or top 10. Everyone praising her is notoriously know to play lower tier characters and one of them is just really good and makes her look better than she is(saltface).

Tanya
Jacqui Briggs
Cassie Cage
Johnny Cage
Possibly Reptile and Raiden.

Just because she is better than Goro doesn't mean she isn't low tier.

Yea I know that bottom 5 in this game is not trash tier. I was just wondering why you thought that.

I think he in the middle somewhere he has a lot going for him across all variations I think as a whole he good definitely not top tier since he not allowed to get dirty like the rest but he can compete which says a lot for this game balance
