This is how it works in sports. Seeded players/teams are put into spots where they don't face other seeded players/teams until later on in the tournament. Theoretically the top 8 or 16 or whatever should be filled with the best players so it prevents a bunch of "randoms" from getting in there unless they deserve it by beating the top players earlier on.
Okay. So if two players are seeded "High" Such as Sonic and Honeybee as an example they should not be in the same pool? Why should then not be in the same pool? Why can they not face each other to get into top 16? Legit curious and trying to understand.
Does that not mean that the players in each bracket are set, but their opponents in that pool might be shifted around? Because SonicFox and me should be in completely different brackets.
Because from prior results, we know that those two are consistent top placers. Having them play early on and giving one a threat of early elimination messes things up for spectators (people like watching top 8s more than pools for the better comp levels), in ranking systems, and with money when we know by their skill level that they otherwise both would have a good chance at top 3.

If they are so skilled then why can they not prove to each other who is better here and there. Things are more scary in pools since you want to get top 8. People are more hungry. I get what your saying but idk man. Something just seems off with this whole seeding thing.
Yeah I was going ot make the change, but not just yet. I'm fixing up KI right now and then will make adjustments to this.
Because two players of that skill level should be doing it in the money and when more people are watching so we don't end up with something like SonicFox vs Godspeed in top 4 (just using him as an example because he knows he's not that good anymore lol).
Technically those higher seeded players earned the somewhat better spot by placeing well before. Some sport events even do it with different pools which get seeded into groups and with only one team/player from the high pool getting seeded into each group which earned this by performing thorughout the previous season.

Indy, imagine that in pool A you have Reo, SonicFox and Theo. In Pool B you have Little Timmy, Someone's Dad and Bob. Top 8 would be SonicFox vs Someone's Dad. Makes no sense!
