Yeah I was only going off of what we actually got to see at Evo on stream

Bad assumption to make but I'm pretty sure it holds true for other tournaments than Evo, leading up to top 8 I mean

The character you get into top 8 with means less than the matchups you play against though. I don't know what matchups they each specifically played but I could see them as being equally skilled regardless of placement. Either way, if you're saying that PPJ is the better player, then that gives less credit to the case of Hawkgirl beating Flash if Honeybee can go even with him. That was the point he's making, that he doesn't think he's just that much better than him that he can do that in a supposedly losing matchup.

They played one set. One set doesn't determine a match up.

My point is that Honeybee believes it's an even matchup and hasn't been shown otherwise yet. If he can explain why it's even, and has experience with top players of it being even, then he has a solid case. There's a lot of matchups that get skewed by results lol. I just think you need more than just theory or just a tournament match.

I'm not saying it's definitive either, but he has a good case. It needs to be played out more though.

His perspective makes sense. I'm just responding to this concept that we should only go by what the Flash players say.

I mean a vortex is like the best thing to possess in a fighting game (especially safe ones). No one wants to have to guess versus a character, that crap sucks :p.
P.S. If scorpion had a safe vortex in mk9........... I dnt even need to go further about that lol.

Why? Theory fighting only ends up in bills half the time lol. There's theory fighting from both sides, and Honeybee has something to show why he might be right. So he's not definitely right, but has a good case that's not any weaker than the other.

What I'm saying is that you need the theory to back up the results of a set or tournament match. I don't think one is strong enough without the other.

Is Flash being top 5 seriously pending on whether HG beat him 4-6 or goes 5-5 with him? Seriously? lol. What does it matter

Zod has 1-3 bad MUs depending on the stage (And a possible 3-7). Similarly, Flash has 0-2 bad MUs and no 3-7s. Zod is definitely top 5, so why wouldn't Flash be?

AM, MMH, and BG probably have no bad MUs, so they are definitively set top characters. (#1-3)

#4 and #5 will undoubtably have bad MUs.

Zod earns his spot despite the bad MUs because he annihilates many characters 7-3 and 8-2 and trait is OP as hell (this might even make him top3 despite the bad MUs).

Flash earns his spot because he has the tools and high burst damage to keep him competitive in all MUs at all points of the match (and he probably has no losing MUs).
