First off, stock is tourney standard always. Opinions aside, its the most consistent and always makes sure the better player wins. It may take longer, but matches between good players don't often take more than 5 minutes.

1v1 is okay, but 2v2 has its place and if you have people who know what they are doing its a beautiful thing. Me and an old buddy of mine named @Deev64 used to do team play all the time and we got it down to an art.

Rival Stage is just asking for trouble. Its small, but the problem comes in it dragging down the connectivity by a huge amount. There used to be a site called Pasta Stadium League that I went to a while back. Easily the best PSASBR players were there. We had a list, and if it didn't go down in the sands of time I'd provide it, but in general it removed 3 things:

Rival Stage
Stages with passive hazards (Sandover's water, Locoroco's water, etc)
Stages that were deemed simply too large (PS Large 1,2 and Buzz, etc)

I edited the list with the general gist of things, but there were a few more stages that came to mind.

I can be consistent, but that doesn't mean I do it.
Tourney banned, remember? :p
I understand all that.
I'm mostly going off how the game was played in my offline scene. We simply just took a different aproach in playing competitive.

Yeah, not like your list was bad, just when you're going online Rival stage is a huge no-no.

So whats the consensus on Big Daddy? I'm getting a bit bored of playing the same character. Sly Cooper looks fun too.

Buffs helped him a lot, but still lower mid tier because of his weight allowing characters to do things to him that are more optimal than what they usually do.

Slower Bane. Go for 2 unless you know you can force them to take a ice puddle standing.

Sly is a god in 2v2, average at 1v1. Place hats, try for 3, know how level 1 works.

Aren't you in Columbus?

You mean to tell me there was a scene for this game within 30 min of my house?! Damnit!

While I know you're right, and it has been proven to me, his latest changes KILLED my BD style. The frame 0 grab breaks killed my oki tech chase style of play. :(

I used to play casually but gave up when they nerfed Sackboy's biggest asset into the ground: his meter building. I still like to pull it out occasionally for shits and giggles tho :D

I'm itching to get back into the game.
If anyone needs to fight the Sweet Tooth who repeatedly beat the #1 Sweet Tooth on leaderboards, try to add me at playakid700. Shotguns and landmines for life.

Actually, BD has some nifty tricks with the existence of frame 0 breaks. If your spacing is tight, them breaking the grab will negate the grab getting rid of the puddle. When they break, puddle comes into effect as a hit since they are outside of a blocking state.

Huh didn't know that. TBH I only got back into the game for about an hour after the patch came out before coming back to Injustice. I have been told and shown that he got better, but man I only turned on my game again to see how the patches had affected him and a lot of the stuff I'd done before no longer seemed to work.

You have to go about it different ways, but basically grab breaks leave you at -5, but if they do the 0-frame grab break then it'll put them in an advantageous but still neutral state.
Theres a few tricks to abuse with this, namely in 2v2 where if you manage to oki someone and they break it knowing its coming, your partner can combo them for free just about because of that neutral state. Timing is strict, but its there.

Also his level 1 knocks them down now. So cool.

:( You should come back, you damn oversea bastard.
Ehhhhh...

I like my game crash-free, with an offline scene, and not having a different play experience depending on the TV I use >.<
Oh and lag switching in tournaments has pretty much killed my desire to ever play anything that uses online tournaments ever again.

Plus Smash 4 is coming out relatively soon-ish. I'd rather break Rosalina when that comes out :joker:

If any of you guys want some 1v1s, explanations/guide on how to get into the game, how to use which ever character of your choice (except Kat), tiers, etc. add me on psn either under LT_the_Vigilante (My Injustice psn), or my actual main psn LordThesaus. I main Evil Cole. Been playin since about a month after the games release so this was my first "fighter" before moving on to Injustice, so i'd be willing to help yall out. In return, i'll let you body me for free in Injustice cuz im free as fuq. :p

Oh and I have a mic.

And yes this game has tournaments. It was just recently a side event at Evo I believe and we tend to host offline tourney here in Texas as well, though only twice a year. Usually in the summer and sometime after christmas. Dem Canadians have a scene as well. There is a group in the east coast as well though they rarely get together for some reason.

@SonicFox5000 GGs earlier bro. ECole FP MU is 5-5 now with this latest patch. Prepatch it use to be in FPs favor slightly. You gonna have a scary FP real soon once you get more comfortable with the game mechanics and get more comfortable with the character, I can already tell. Im not ready for that day. :(
Sent you an add on your Injustice psn. Looking for some info on Nariko and Zeus.

Was this game good? The hype of this game died fast. It's free on PS Vita if you have PS Plus.

I personally think it started really well, then started going downhill when they introduced DLC (And along with that being a LOT of game breaking glitches that drove away a good portion of the community).

Is the best Nathan Drake (and sveral other characters) that I've ver played, and he'll talk to you while playing, too. Two positive things, IMO.
Also, psVIta cross PS3 interactivity is fantastic.

If you guys ever start playing Injustice again and host an event with it, then I'll gladly join in on some PSAS while I'm there.
