Destiny Changes, From Beta to Full Game

Since the beta came out I played it every day, some days up to 15 hours each day. I love the game and can't wait until the release. There were a few things that I thought were glaring issues that could easily be fixed upon release, some major and some minor that would make the game even better.

#1 More balance to the guns. As of right now there is no reason not to use Cydonia Ar-3 as a main weapon. Scout rifles, pulse rifles and hand cannons are basically useless in pvp compared to that one gun. I would imagine they noticed this and are on the case of fixing it. I would love to use a pulse rifle in the real game as long as they are good.

#2 You should not be able to zoom in with sniper while you are getting shot. That IS OP and the main issue with PVP right now imo. Once again that's an easy fix and I really hope they change that.

To me those are the only two HUGE issues I had with the beta. Other smaller things I would love to see implemented....

Being able to Hijack Vehicles would greatly help out with pvp. As of right now when someone is in the tank on the moon, it's ridiculous. If you could hijack it, they would actually have to think about what they are doing and give the other team a chance to steal it.

Also, Titan super should NOT go through walls but I don't know if that can be fixed. It's not a deal breaker just an annoyance of mine lol

The Titan and Warlock's super moves need to be toned down a bit. I played as a Warlock and even said, "This move is a fucking joke. It's a mini nuke." Especially when it is able to track and you get the other various upgrades for it. If the entire enemy team was in a small area, it would obliterate them all.

The Ar-3 is really, really good. Almost too good. I used it simply due to that. Rock an Ar-3 and a shotgun and it's GGs for anyone who crosses your path if you know what you're doing.

I don't know I feel like the all the supers are pretty balanced. Just annoyed when you are in the next room and killed by ground pound.

The Hunter's super is a joke compared to the Titan's and Warlock's. It really is.

The only thing that I see making either of the two balanced is that it takes effin' forever to recharge them.

You can get 3 kills with one super! 1 shot each, how is that bad??
Is it AoE? Legit question as I don't know. Does it track enemies after it's used?

I've just been told and read all over the place that their super is complete shit.

But a Titan and Warlock can get 6 kills with one super provided the enemies are all there. Unlikely to happen, but at least it can.

I am playing hunter mainly for the super. I usually get a least 2 kills on average per use. While I notice titans are getting 1 as well as warlocks on average. Yes they can get more but it's not all that common from what I've seen. Don't forget most of the people who cry on the internet are scrubs and think everything should be nerfed. This site is perfect proof of that when a new game gets released. They lose to something and immediately cry nerf.

I really think the vehicles in First Light are OP, the only way to deal with them is another vehicle or heavy weapon. IMO the heavy weapon ammo should come on the map from the start of the game for those maps that have vehicles and they should make it possible to hijack the vehicles. Also on First Light I feel like spawning C-Side gives you a big advantage in the game since they got the turret on their side looking over the B flag.

Titan should play much more like the Warrior from Diablo 2, since that's the skill set it's obviously based on.

Right now the skill is like a nuke- it does ridiculous damage, but the charge time is absurd. I hardly ever get to play my class as something unique.

So make it MUCH weaker, but let me use it MUCH more often. The Warrior's leap attack in RPG games is half attack, half mobility tool. You use it to get in an deal damage while avoiding long-range fire, as much as you use it to leap out of the way and into cover quickly when you've taken more damage- half weapon, half mobility tool: that's how it ought to be. It gives it strategy and depth- more than just being like a charging super power, skills like this should be tightly integrated into how the classes play.

I believe that the hunter is the best class for PvP. With the titans super you stil have to aim it and takes some amount of skill whereas with the Hunter you can just shoot somewhere near the taget and they die. The upgrades fr it are really good too one gives you collatarel damage. I feel like all the supers are balanced fine.

How exactly is the Hunters super shit?

Especially in a game mode like we had where you have to camp out a spot for a bit.

2 kills was pretty easy with the one shot weapon of mass destruction. Enough to easily defend, or clear out a spot.

I wouldn't be surprised if the classes were split even more to the point or how they handle weapons.

We also didn't get to dick around with probably some of the stuff like Weapons Parts, the "collectable" things (that iron plant and such).

IDK. I mean you can only have so much variety when it comes to level up RPG gun play etc etc.

I actually hope/plan on the story mode being way more epic and such.

and Fuck the Devil Walker. The game seriously mislead you on where to shoot the thing to begin with!!! :p

Blow out its legs and then shoot it in its weak spot that appears behind its head. >_>

Finding its weak spots wasn't hard. Shooting it in the legs caused yellow (critical damage) numbers to appear, so that pretty much told you to shoot it there. :p

I didnt play the beta because A. Amazon never sent me a code and B. I wanted to wait for the full game, which is weird because I usually do betas for everything.

Thanks for the write up though!

The Hunter's Golden Gun gets better as you go on, with the ability to shoot through people and the ability to make your enemies explode. I would say the best ability right now is the Titan Smash. It is tough to get killed while it is activated and when you couple it with the area of effect mini explosions it cuts off a a pretty big swath of the territory you are holding. I played Titan up to 8 and Hunter. I enjoyed my time with the hunter. His super took getting used to, you run into some moments where you turn it on and get shot, or you turn it on and everyone you wanted to kill was killed by a teammate. I will eventually run with the Blade Dancer version which i hear is very good.

A fun website to check out www.destinytracker.com It gives you a readout of all the important stuff you did in the Beta. I was happy to see that my W/L ratio was 41st on XBone. Add me up come Destiny time. TTL Lanny.

The beta went open access a few days after it went live. =/

But, since you said you wanted to wait for the full game, it probably wasn't considered a big loss to you. =P

Yeah, I saw it on PSN in the store a few days ago but was too busy playing UFC.

From what I've seen it looks really good, interesting, and refreshing.

If you can use it properly, the scout rifle is the best weapon. 3-shot kill if you can headshot is crazy.
Scout rifles are probably the best weapon in the game to get really consistent headshots with.

Yeah, but if you paid attention to it after blowing up one of its legs, you would have noticed that something popped up behind its head. It kinda required you to be looking at it from the side to notice, however.

I didn't notice it the first time around, so don't worry. =P

The Scout rifle is a good weapon, but you must adjust your play accordingly. It works well on the moon for the long sightlines, but can be troubling on smaller maps, running and gunning with it will prove problematic....shoguns anyone?

@G4S Claude VonStroke the Cydonia is a good weapon, but did you try the Shingen-C? I had a green one and, it quickly became a weapon I kept in the vault so my other characters could use it. It was amazing. The version I had had better accuracy when crouched, and wow, taking a territory crouched down watching a door became a piece of cake. Good stuff. I'll be looking for that gun come September.
