Also somebody needs to mention Cronenberg Naked Lunch! I can't be the only one who saw it dammit.

Movies that changed my life:
-Apollo 13
-Pursuit of Happiness (anyone who's every discouraged should watch this)
-Citizen Kane (one of the best movies ever made, period)
-The Pianist (one of the most realistic depictions of the effects of war)
-It's a Wonderful Life
-Saving Private Ryan
-Shawshank

Movies that were a blast to watch or you should probably see:
-Raiders of the Lost Ark (one of the all-time classic action movies, of all time)
-Memento
-Blues Brothers (one of the best satirical comedies ever made)
-Inception
-Schindler's List
-Lord of the Rings Trilogy
-The Matrix
-Toy Story (1 or 2, although you need to see 1 to see 2)
-The Incredibles
-Shutter Island
-The Dark Knight #1 and #2
-Alien (and Aliens.. both classics)

Films everyone else says you should watch, but I didn't understand at all:
-Apocalypse Now
-A Clockwork Orange
(they both seem like violent pipe dreams)

Feel free to take whichever one. Hopefully the list will inspire some other people.

i tried to watch apocalypse now like 3 or 4 times i fell asleep every time , godfather 3 had the same effect on me

Ya i'm a big movie buff myself so i'm happy to say that i'm going to have some new movies to watch.:)

Yeah personally I thought it should have won best film that year...look at the 2010 nominee list...

“Inglourious Basterds”
“Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire”
“A Serious Man”
“Up”
“Up in the Air”

I am not sure how the hell Moon did not make it into that 10 nominee list....

A Serious Man was pretty f'n depressing though...

District 9 was pretty decent...but nominating it over Moon....are you f'n serious people. I couldn't take the Oscars serious that year.

Precious was a huge bill. Moon should've been up there for sure, probably didn't make it due to it being so low budget and kind of underground.
I loved A Serious Man, but then again I love everything the Coens do haha.

When he got the phone call right at the end of the movie I was like OMG this is how this movie is going to end FFS poor dude...
