Not that any of us should be surprised by a recent tweet from Ed Boon, but it is nice to know. Every Mortal Kombat game, especially the 'newer' ones have always been loaded with tons of awesome features including Puzzle Kombat, Chess Kombat, The Krypt, Konquest as well as newer things like X-Rays and so on. Well, Ed Boon has confirmed via twitter that Mortal Kombat X will have much more than one new feature.

As for Fatalities, he's been quoted saying "Flip your sh*t, I tell you... #MKX"

What kinds of new features are you hoping for?

Considering how many different things MK9 had to do, among versus, story, tag, online, challenge tower, test your luck (my fave), kombat kodes (2, 3,4 every time): the thought of us getting more is awesome!

Chess Kombat please!

Kombat Kode 234 = Rainbow Kombat, right? It's been a while, but that was always my favorite kode to enter. I could be wrong, however.

Was there ever a doubt? Is it not Boon's ideology to do new things in every single game? Come on now.

Hopefully they add something like that but with online vs mode support, that would be awesome.
I never really played too much of chess mode in MK: Deception, but I've seen people post that transitioning from the chess game to an actual match, ruined the actual chess game. Since it became more about who won the fights instead. I wouldn't know though.

MKF30

Fujin and Ermac for MK 11
I want to see another "race to finishing move" kind of feature if you win, fatality, friendship(with no blocking) and maybe animalities or brutalities. If you lose, hara kiri! But brutalities this time need to be more realistic like torturing the guy, choppin off arms, ripping out intestines, cut his face off, have johnny cage rip off the guys balls then, break his jaw and shove it in his mouth!!!

YES!! lol

I never play MKD to be honest, but those additional mini games seem great. Maybe this time they could fix whatever issue those mini games had. I for one would like another MK karting game, my PS+ membership expired so I can't play LBP karting anymore :(.

He's going to bring back this

TAN TAN TAN TADAN TAN TAN TAN TADAN TAN TAN TAN TADAN!!!

This would actually be very cool to bring back for the PS Move motion controls since (don't quote me on this) it can detect striking power. I say this because I think The Fight: Light Out on PS3 measured the force from your punches. Whether it measured a combination of speed, weight, distance and accuracy, I'm unsure of. But the Move must have recognized something along those lines. Maybe the Kinect can do the same?

Very ambiguous to say the least. Could he be referring to in game fighting mechanics or additional bonus stuff? What a tease.

The one component most fatalities should have in MKX, is the appearance that your opponent is struggling and resisting when you're trying to kill them. It would make things look a lot more realistic. MK has never done this though unfortunately.
