Your Personal Varied Roster

Every time a character is announced, even if I'm almost certain I will not be regularly playing him/her, I automatically try to think about which variation I would use if I did. I know we're mostly going off speculation and incomplete info when we try and choose our variations, but it's still fun to try and find your favorite version of each character in advance. We still don't have information about every character's variations, but it can still be fun to build our own roster of personal variations, to see what everyone gravitates towards.

Here is a list of my personal favorite variations for every character so far (I'll update it as the others' variations are announced), feel free to do the same:

It's fun to see quite a lot of diversity, it's hard to pinpoint any variations that are ''more popular'', even in only the few people that answered. I can only hope the same diversity will apply to the actual game when it comes out. If I'm going to see 90% Scorpions, I can at least hope I'll get 33% Ninjutsu, 33% Hellfire and 33% Inferno.

Yeah, I know I felt the same, some are so varied that I feel like I absolutely need to try them out, it's as if they're completely different characters. (Kotal and Kano's variations come to mind)

Yeah definitely, I think that's absolutely awesome. Adds so much diversity even between variations. I have to admit at the very beginning when the variation system was announced I was a bit sceptical but now I think it's the best thing they could have possibly added.

Completely agree. I think the general response is very positive too. The only concern I see every once in a while is about balancing all of these variations, but that's something that we will not be able to judge before a good while after the game is released.

That's pretty much the only "problem" I see with this game as of now, but like you said it's too early to judge that. We'll see, hopefully they balanced it well.
