i might be holding something this weekend. i think we need an MD/VA/DC thread for all the players around dc/nova/md area. can you change the name of this thread to reflect that?

I could care less what it's called, I just want to throw down damnit! I love my friends but none of them have any desire to play competitively, so I must go elsewhere to scratch the itch. What system is generally played on offline?

i only have the game on PS3. i dont think xanadu has this game on xbox, but someone can bring their copy/setup. all my friends play on ps3 too, but we all play on stick so it doesn't matter which system we play on.

The past 2 times I went to Xanadu, they had the X-box version of MK on the big screen next to where we were playing. Unfortunatly, there were no working x-box pads. So I had to use the sticks that day .

I did ok but it was tough for me use. Its quite impressive seeing people pull off combos on a stick cause I can't even do Smokes 2 hit with any consistance.

Anyone know what this is all about? They have MK9 as one of the tournament games?

Xanadu has a monthly tournament on the 28th IIRC. MK9 is in the list of games for that tournament.

Damn, heading out on a cruise memorial day weekend and wont be back till after that. Is it always the 28th....? Even if it happens to not fall on a weekend? Or is more like the last Saturday of the month?

Hmmm.. I doubt I'd be able to make this but thanks for the heads up. I'm actually going on vacation that week... or at least trying to.

I'll definitely be hitting up Xanadu on Weds again for casuals after this month is over though. Shitty work schedule this month.

Xanadu holds tournaments/casuals every Wednesday night around 5PM it starts are goes till probably 1 or 2am?

Top MD SF players go there, including EVO goers, etc. It's a GREAT place to go because they have a good bit of space, quite a few setups and good players. They also have a chinese place that delivers to there as well so food is nearby and cheap. I definitely recommend paying a visit.

I mapquested and the place is about 40 minutes away from me (assuming the address at the bottom of the page is the right place). I'll try to come by sometime during the summer. None of my friends play fighting games so it would be nice to play some competetive people offline where there is no lag.
