I was just reaffirming your statement.I know, I already stated as to why they did this with Wolverine. Everyone already knows who he is and it brings them more money. The only point I can really argue is stating the obvious, reboot the series entirely.
Dude, i'm a huge Cyclops fan boy. Everyone always talks shit about him and say he's a baby because of the movies and it's like, do you even know what the fuck you're talking about? He went from being your typical boy scout to an intelligent strategical leader to a political activist to a Phoenix force psychotic to a mutant terrorist. IMO he's one of the coolest and well written characters out of the Marvel universe.I thought I was the only one, on here that actually likes Scott. #cyclopswasright.
Colossus is by far one of my favorite characters. Joss Whedon wrote a interesting love story involving him and Kitty in Astonishing X-Men lol. +1 for that avatar.Omg...FINALLY!!! I have been following this film's release progress for a few months now on other forums and apparently it's been a complete mess. Allegedly they kept cutting scenes that involved Anna and Halle. Some fans are annoyed that they are sending Wolverine back in time, instead of Kitty. (this is all stuff from these X-men oriented forums)
I didn't really care for the original X-Men movies (the trilogy, or whatever) but I absolutely loved First Class. I literally could watch an entire movie centered around Magneto (Fassbender) just going around hunting Nazis.
I'm here for Magneto, Mystique, and Colossus.
Yessss, I know, I know.
Oh right on, I thought you were disagreeing saying that if by putting Shadowcat in it'd be a bad move since no one really knows her.I was just reaffirming your statement.
Yeah. Kitty is Jewish and in the comics they had the whole Holocaust theme with the Sentinels.I think Ellen Page could do a hell of a lot more with Kitty than most, but nothing significant has been written yet for that character. The original story sends Kitty to the past, but of course Wolverine is where the money is, so they changed that up lol.
I wish I could man.Tell me more pls
I've always loved the character. His mutant ability is awesome and I love that he is Russian. Apparently in one of the story lines he was gay....so of course I love that, lol!Colossus is by far one of my favorite characters. Cyclops is one of my favorite Marvel NOW characters! I use too be one of those "haters" for Cyclops. But now! Damn. He's awesome!Dude, i'm a huge Cyclops fan boy. Man, everything he is doing in the Now! era is amazing. Him and Magneto teamed up was cool as fuck. (that's another character I left out as one of my favorites.)Cyclops is one of my favorite Marvel NOW characters! I use too be one of those "haters" for Cyclops. But now! Damn. He's awesome!
Storm is one of my Favorite X-Men. But after watching X1 as a kid, I was like "WTF have they done." lol BTW. Colossus is awesome. He's one of the characters I wanted to see get more air-time. Like how Nightcrawler had a big amount of Air-time in X-2. But than Nightcrawler disappeared after X-2 and was never seen again for some reason. Like wtf was that about?I've always loved the character. His mutant ability is awesome and I love that he is Russian. Apparently in one of the story lines he was gay....so of course I love that, lol!
It's such a shame that some of coolest/fiercest characters were so poorly written in the movies (Storm). Halle is a fantastic actress but they gave her shit in terms of material/lines and I don't think Halle was able to fully capture the iconic bad ass/regal legendary leader that Storm is. I got goosebumps just watching Storm levitate with her eyes completely white (huge Storm fan boy right here!)
I haven't read any Marvel NOW books YET! But I've heard and read up on some stuff of whats going on. But I probably get into reading some since most of New 52 is disappointing.Man, everything he is doing in the Now! era is amazing. Him and Magneto teamed up was cool as fuck. How do you feel about the new Uncanny team with the OG 5 past members plus the new characters introduced?
This is what happens when companies like Fox get a hold of the rites to characters. I legitimately think they sit down in a room and are like "ok so, just make sure the film is centered around Wolverine and we'll have some really big explosions and high octane action scenes, we'll introduce a new love interest for him because the Hollywood rule states that these films always have to have a love interest. Oh the source material? Ok, add in a few characters that were popular with the fans and give them 5-10 minutes of screen time and twist the plot around to where it's in our image but still has the general idea of the original material. BLAM-O WE'RE MAKING CHEDDAR BOYZ"I just wish they wouldn't make so much shit up. I understand wolverine is more popular, recognizable and profitable but that is not how it happened. Same with first class and origins. They had the team completely wrong aside from professor x and beast in first class and origins just mutilated deadpool. At least when marvel produces the movies, they stay closer to the source material. Most of the x-men movies were decent aside from that. I actually really enjoyed first class regardless and the last wolverine movie was great. But I just find it hard to look past all the superheroes movies that deviate from the source material too much. They all do to some extent but x-men movies are one of the biggest culprits.
I must be the only person that liked Origins.
My only gripe with The Wolverine was The Silver Samurai. I wish they just stick to some of the OG shit from comic's so to speak. They can change something's. That's fine with me. But what they did to Deadpool, The Silver Samurai and the cast of characters in First Class is really, really lame.I just wish they wouldn't make so much shit up. If your open for recommendations, I highly suggest getting these books that tie together with everything current in the X-Men universe:I haven't read any Marvel NOW books YET! But I've heard and read up on some stuff of whats going on. But I probably get into reading some since most of New 52 is disappointing.
That's probably one of the coolest action scenes in all of X-Men CU entirety, just because I have a soft spot for Teleportation.I just want some more Nightcrawler please!
I still think till this day the scene where Nightcrawler attacks the White House is the best scene they ever did....
Someone tell me Im wrong?!?
Definitely. I was a huge Wolverine, Daredevil, Spider-man and The Punisher fan-boy when I was a kid, due too The Spider-man and X-Men Animated series'(s). But once I discovered Lobo! Fuck man. I started reading some DC stuff more than Marvel. But the New 52 is a disappointment so far, except for Wonder Woman, Swamp-Thing and Animal-Man books (which I also haven't read) are really good from what I've heard. I'm enjoying some of the Forever Evil books like The Forever Evil: Justice League and Forever Evil: Justice League of America books are good so far. So with that said, I definitely take up on your suggestions! If your open for recommendations, I highly suggest getting these books that tie together with everything current in the X-Men universe:
All New X-Men
Uncanny X-Men
Guardians of the Galaxy
Uncanny Avengers
Yes! I know, right? Everything about Storm (in the comics and TAS) is utter perfection. Her attitude, her mutant abilities, her leadership, the fact that she would basically chant a poem before summoning her powers (lol) was just amazing. Then comes X1 and I, like you, was like "Ohhhh no....wtf!"Storm is one of my Favorite X-Men. But after watching X1 as a kid, I was like "WTF have they done." lol BTW. Colossus is awesome. He's one of the characters I wanted to see get more air-time. Like how Nightcrawler had a big amount of Air-time in X-2.
