okay heres my deal - i have the motorola 6580 that came with my bright house lightnign service. for the past 2 years this thing has been port forwarded and wired. i used to always have full green bars .. so the other day i noticed that my connection was piss poor. looking in my settings and even though my ports are all still forward AND just in case my xbox ip is om my DMZ i STILL get that my ports arent open... now with a bit of teaking my ( lease MAC address to ip) im back up to 3 green bars but not 4- This is REALLY pissing me off- for some reason i cannot get back up to my full 4 green bars i have had since day one... .
ISP says everythign is good on their end and that my modem is 100%
recap - ports say they are forward. ip on DMZ, MAC and IP leased togther, wired, oh and my ehternet cable is less than ten ft.
so questions.
has anybody had this happen and then got their connection back to 4 full bars?
any body have a wired connection but it bounces between 3-4 bars?
does any body have any insight on why this would be happening
any help or info would help
