Im gonna go extreme here and predict we will get a returning character (i.e. Raiden) and an MK4+ character (i.e. Fujin).
Actually, a Raiden vs Fujin reveal trailer would be dope.
They reveal it just before Injustice Top 8 making the players so hyped they keep dropping their Trident Rushes and BG Vortexes.

I THINK they were releasing these 'vignette' videos, likes these short introductory videos about the character stories.
Same thing happened with DLC characters, if i recall correctly.

Sindel and Jade were revealed on a magazine. Jax was on a show on gametrailers, Ermac was first seen on Noob's trailer, but Ed had confirmed him before. And I think Kitana and Cyrax were revealed in August, probably for gamescom
