Where did the idea you can't have an opinion for two years come from?

I am never going to stop laughing about the era of "Sonya is shit-tier" whenever it crosses my mind, nor will I ever comprehend why it wasn't until like mid- or late 2012 that people finally began putting Cyrax in their top five, which is where he was at from the very beginning. I mean, really?

Yup when I first joined TYM, Cyrax was being argued to be "mid-tier at best". Imagine if he'd been buffed before he reached his full potential!

Let me put it in perspective: It was literally ONLY after MLG Dallas last November that Cyrax was universally acknowledged as a top 5 character. Considering he has one of the best D4's in the game (great range, leaves him at +982), a stupidly retarded command grab, great pressure, decent mix ups, controls the screen against most of the cast, and oh right, he could also take your life and meter the moment he touches you... I find this baffling. So yeah, excuse those of us who want to wait a bit before formulating definitive opinions.

(I feel like I've made this post before about Cyrax. God I love/hate that character).
