Question Where are the Cyborgs?

Please, if you're out there, show yourselves! I need you guys, we have to stick together, please anybody?????

Since the game dropped all I been hearing is how awesome and great Cyborg is, people say hes top tier, hes top 5, hes A+ etc etc smfh

I got my copy of the game on April 13th, it is now May 10th and I have yet to see another Cyborg online. I went to Project Injustice April 27th, I was the only Cyborg there. Im willing to bet money at ECT5, there wont be more than 3 Cyborgs including myself.

I've put a lot of time into the character and I truly believe he is a GREAT character, but what I have learned through all the training is, he takes a lot of work to be successful with, and frankly, one can simply choose other characters and have an easier time all around.

And at the end of the day, it is my belief that this is the reason why I dont see him. I mean why would someone want to work harder? Cant say I blame people.

So again, if any fellow Borg's are out there, please stand up, shout, holla, do something to show me we have life, and that we will not surrender.

Im kinda waiting to see how bad they fuck him up when they patch out his infinite. I mained kano day one in mk9 not going through that bs again.

I main him. And will continue to after (if) he gets the nerf. IANBs are the best part of his game right now, but his grapplehook set-ups are fucked up and fun. I might be at ECT for Sat to play some casuals, but I have a wedding to attend that night and sunday morning.

I will be at UFGT though

I mained Cyborg for a bit and wrote a guide on him. He is pretty good and not a "brain dead" character that zones "aka...Death Stroke". The problem with Cyborg is unles you can get his Nova Blast spamming off early he gets owned by Rushdown type characters like Doomsday and Catwoman.

Yea I agree about having to get off early with him

I've been a main Cyborg since release and I can see why a lot of people don't play him. He takes a lot of work but the more work you put in the better the outcome. He reminds me of Zero from UMvC3 in a sense where a lot of people don't play him because of the amount of training mode he requires but if he's played well he's one of the best characters in the game.

Agreed, not to mention this is a game that rewards simplicity, so we cant blame folks for taking easier routes.

what are you talking about...Zero's are a dime a dozen these days in UMVC3...don't compare that game to this.

I like him, but I stopped working on him infavor for NW for the past couple of days. Cy is fun indeed, and does take some time to be effective. I'll work my way back around to him soon though, and try to get the rage quiters all riled up again. Lol!

Zero wasn't used a lot when Vanilla first came out and the same thing happened in UMvC3 when it was first released. Maybe later in Injustice's life span we'll see more Cyborg but for right now not so much.

Dooood! Cyborg is NOTHING like Zero. Read my Cyborg guide and it will tell you why. Cyborg DOSE take some execution to play.

I read your guide the first day you posted it. I appreciate you making it. If you read my previous post the only thing I said that compared Zero and Cyborg were their character usage rates and execution at the beginning stages of each game that they are in not the way they play.

I don't use IAFB, don't want too.


Makes things boring, spamming IAFB full screen is about as boring as spamming DS guns fullscreen.

Hell it works, but it isn't as fun as traditional zoning, or mixing in some combos(what little combos he has).


My opinion, I don't think its wrong or anything I just don't like it.


And to the people thinking patching out his IAFB will ruin him, you shouldn't be backing a character that you think is dependent on one ability alone.

Agreed, I dont use the IAFBs, as I always say, I dont think he needs them
