Thats really funny coming from a cyrax player. #YOLOispowerAgree 100%
the fact pushblock isn't gaurnteed is already costly as it is. strings cancel to b/f 3 snuffs pushblock , wastes your oppnents meter, and gives full bnb.Making pushblock only require 1 bar of meter as opposed to 2 would be good too.
That's situational though.. That's not something that happens consistently..the fact pushblock isn't gaurnteed is already costly as it is. strings cancel to b/f 3 snuffs pushblock , wastes your oppnents meter, and gives full bnb.
You're missing my point. WHY call them OR put them IN THE GAME as a wakeup attack when you're not going to give it wake up properties to make it useful. This isn't a post about crying for I need braindead fully invincible EVERY WAKE UP MUST BE GOD but they should have functions. IE AA wake ups should have enough invincibility to stop a jump in attack. The counter to that would be NOT JUMP in and full combo the wakeup that won't hit a person standing, you know making a read.I don't understand the reasoning behind calling every move that you input that way as a wake up when clearly not all of them are true wake ups, but I'm pretty sure every character has at least one that is invincible. (Don't quote me on that though) Idk about other characters but Black Adam's Cage with stop jump ins/crossups on wake up and has invincibility. You just kind of have to toy around really to see what works and what doesn't.
I know exactly what you are saying dude and I said I have no idea. You're missing my point. Theres way too many low risk HIGH reward follow ups in this game and thats because AAs and Wakeups SUCK for 3/4s of the cast.
The thread is about wake ups. On hard knock down , you don't have time to dash.Lately, when people try jumping at me, I dash forward and try to punish. Still a work in progress. Even if you get nothing off of it, dashing forward can at least return the situation to neutral. Pig Of The Hut Dash forward vs. cross-ups still good?
Well AA grapple works but in a certain range therefor it still anti airs but just not 100%You're missing my point. http://testyourmight.com/threads/thoughts-on-balance-patches-for-ba.31710/page-6Other day i Saw a black adam main complain he needed Buffs on his AA
I might have punched him dead if he sat next to me and said that
I totally agree with you. The game would be more interesting if you have to make a read if they are gonna wake up or not. You should respect wake ups, not d3 and then free jump in. NRS, please fix this. You're missing my point. WHY call them OR put them IN THE GAME as a wakeup attack when you're not going to give it wake up properties to make it useful. i don't know about that. it seems people just haven't made habit of it yet. people already don't make habit of using pushblock it self. the problem it self is not eve pushblock being bait able but the problem is that their really no reliable defensive options such as poor aa and wake up as the op mention. once they knowledge becomes more prevalant we'll see stuff develop to exploit this further. That's situational though.. That's not something that happens consistently..

JK <3 u rap but batman needs to blow at something
I play sinestroNothing to do with Batman dude, like I said as a reptile player I'm very accustomed to having a shit wake up game so this isn't anything new to me lol. His AA is actually pretty good I'm merely talking about the basic mechanics of this game.
There are very few characters in this game that have solid wake ups that actually make an opponent go, "hey let me bait a wakeup and block".
Which is why I've said all this time that the mid range game in this is basically a game of chicken. The whole YOLO > making reads is becoming a real turn off.
Got to love NRS on the batswarm. Lets make its kung laos spin except it won't stop jump ins or low attacks. In fact its just cool to look at and sucks lolWell AA grapple works but in a certain range therefor it still anti airs but just not 100%
now your BATS on the other hand should maybe have a name change.
Reversals aren't what we are discussing here. Judging by your post I'm guessing you think GL is the most broken fighting game character of all time then?First of all, if Batman had an anti air wake up he'd be broken. In fact I think he'd be broken with any viable reversal. His rush down is too strong. Being mad about not getting a grapple or up batarang on wake up is like being mad that Ryu can't wake up fireball reversal. Of course you're going to get beat out, those moves weren't intended to be wake ups. Some characters just don't have viable wake up options, so you have to block. It's not a bad thing. In fact, it'll make you a better player because of it. Since you'll be forced to learn how to block. Plus, even if you did have a reversal and trained yourself just to mash it out every wake up you'd probably get hit by a whole bunch of safe jumps; And guessing wrong with a reversal during a safe jump against characters like Adam means I get a free 54% on you.
In street fighter land nearly every character has an invincible move that will hit you if you're doing anything other than blocking or (in some cases) backdashing. This is especially true on wake up. There are exceptions but that is the general concept.I pose the following question: What is more scrubby? Having a universal wakeup system for all characters that you must respect. Or have a shit wakeup system where only a handful of characters can escape dealing with free 50/50's, pressure, and jumpins after every hard knockdown....They say MK spoiled us on wakeups. I say Injustice spoiled them.

So I guess the follow up is do you think SF has a scrubby wake up system
