Sony Vegas Pro is what you want. I've been using Vegas Pro since probably around 2007 when I was only 10 years old and I've never looked back.
Friendly UI and once you get the hang of clicking where you need to click and knowing what to press to get the result you're after - it's super easy. Evey program has a learning curve but I feel you're get what you're after with Vegas.
