Firstly, learn to run. It's seriously important in MKX.
Yeah I understand that, but at my stage I am really just doing small strings and the beginning of combos. Trying to find a toon that uses less running is just one extra thing I do not have to learn all at once. I tend to learn best when I split things up into smaller tasks. My thoughts here are if I take the run-cancel out of the mix, I can learn the other factors better, and then learn run cancel and this other stuff be second nature. I just felt that with Cassie and Joaquin the run thing was just one more thing to learn and complicate things.
But yeah I plan to learn it at some point!
people on TYM are, generally, dicks. Don't let them bother you.
haha, its cool mate. I've used the internet before!!
Cutthroat and Cybernetic Kano.
Kung Jin - Budjutsu <snip>Raiden
Quan Chi, Ermac, Goro, and Kotal Kahn come to mind.

Hey guys, thanks for all your input. I appreciate it. Here are my thoughts on your suggestions!
Ermac - I should have mentioned that I can not choose him. Ermac is my wife's main and we are trying to pick so out toons are unique to each of us. He dose seam good though.
Kano - Same for Kano, but my son.
Radian and Lu Kang. Personally I really dislike all these characters. To me they look kinda dorky and I just do not think I could get into them. Especially with those terrible battle cries. They just make me kinda laugh at them
hehe.
Kotal Kahn - Yeah I have been playing with him a bit, I really like his Aztech type themeing. IMO one of the best looking toons in the game!
Erron Black to be nonreliant on using run in mid combo. Erron Black mainly because he can use Outlaw to use bleed damage and caltrop damage to makeup more damage overall than long combos simply by stabbing you and getting you to hold position on the caltrops. I use a lot of rolling sand grenades after a knockdown to force blocking and hold people on the things longer.
I think I will give this cowboy guy a go. I really like the freshness of the new toons so it appeals to me to try this cowboy dude. He might work out as I have been playing D'vorah a bit recently in her poison form. So it is a simular trype opf effect I guess. That has a symetry to it I like.
