What characters do you see making top 8s and which ones do you see not making top 8s?
Are there any none tournament viable Characters with these tournament variations? Or is everyone able to handle the top 5 characters toolsets just fine?

My best guess is:
Making it - Sonya, Geras, Erron, Sub Zero, Scorpion.

Not making it- Frost, Kotal, Shao Kahn and D'Vorah.

With the current gameplay everyone you listed plus Liu Kang, Jax and Baraka
Then again, Sonicfox won a tourney playing Joker. Matchups will decide
