Breakthrough - Sonya Blade What buffs you guys think Sonya will get in KP2?

Alright, since everyone is doing it, Imma do it.

It's common knowledge among the players that our General Blade is sitting down there in the bottom 5 dungeon of characters in this game and have always been. Our Yomi friend @YOMI RM Glass Sword agrees.

My suggestions:

Universal:

121 is now +10 on block
Dive kick is now an OH and -5 on block (EX version is a low and +5)
EX Leg Grab is now an armored launcher and -3 on block
B142 is now +2 on block
B14 is now a HKD in a juggle (*Sonya players freak out right now*)

Covert Ops:

Parry (Regular and EX) now parries projectiles
OH Cartwheel now starts up in 6 frames and -3 on block

Demolition:

Unbreakable grenades
DD1 (grenade reload) now starts up in 15 frames

Special Forces:

DD1 (drone call) now lasts 1 minute on screen
BLK+2 is an unblockable
B2 is now +10 on block

She probably needs a lot more, but these little buffs would make her at least as good as Kenshi.

Suggestions?

-Make Demolition grenades reload faster.

-Make them more + on block when used with strings.

Yall talk all that shit "oh no don't buff her, she'd be too OP", but with the massive amounts of stupidity in this game no one can convince me these buffs (mine not the OP) aren't reasonable. It would make her better, in line with the top characters, and if everyone was in line with them then the game would be truly balanced.

Any buffs that make a character better like the reigning Top Tier characters clearly are, i support. Buff reload speed, buff frames.

*Those Universal Buffs in the OP are insane though.

Air throw now does 15% damage up from 12
Ex parry now has armor on startup
B2 is now a true mid and safe on block
Backdash has faster startup
F2 now allows enough hit advantage to link into full combo from B1 & B3

Demo:
Bombs should be unbreakable
Red bombs now slightly drains opponents meter
Ex grenade toss now has armor

I don't think red bombs should drain meter, but I wouldn't necessarily be against it lol.

There's no good reason for Kung Lao to have no losing match-ups. Buffing Sonya is good for Sonya, doesn't change anything about KL still being fucking retarded in this game, and even buffed Sonya would feel that.

But considering more characters are nowhere near the top tiers, it's easier and more reasonable to tone those top tier characters down. There's no good reason for Kung Lao to have no losing match-ups. Buffing Sonya is good for Sonya, doesn't change anything about KL still being fucking (soap bar in my mouth) in this game, and even buffed Sonya would feel that.

It is in theory, but that's not what happens in practice. We've had Lao, Quan Chi, Cassie since Day 1. People spotted Predator, Tanya on their Day 1. Their pathetic baby slap "nerfs to top tiers" barely did anything to them. Patch after patch and they're too busy nerfing Jacqui, Mileena, Jason, and Kano, while buffing Lao, QC, and Cassie 3rd variations at the same time. So if that's going to be the case then more characters need to be brought up to what they deem acceptable playing standards.

only thing that needs a buff is her drone variation, her demolition maybe a few tweaks to startup times and strings, other than that not really. I don't play the character though, im just going off of what i've seen and heard.

Without messing around and as a demolition main, this is the only thing demolition needs adjusted:
- B14 is now a hard knockdown AGAIN (for some reason nrs removed this)
oh, and bonus if 121 string is fixed

With that I think demolition would be fine.

I'm all for Sonya being top 3 but that's not gonna happen lol. I agree with some of scar's suggestions.
-121 not randomly whiff
-b2 being mid and safe(both SF Sonya and non SF)
-EX/LEG GRAB to crush low pokes(non low profileable like it is now.)
-Demo bombs should bounce back when done at the corner on every stage and not just some
-Red bombs have increased chip/pushback.
-111 has a bigger cancel window in SF Sonya.

No way in all seven hells Sonya is that bad.

I agree with buffing the grenades at least a smidge, but that's about as far as I go.

I'd rather see the legitimately in need of help characters/untouched variations get help first.
Kenshi. Jason. Maybe something for Goro and Jacqui.
If. I had the wheels, she'd be like 8th on my list.
