Weekly Gatherings in ATL, GA Tech

Hey everyone, I am going to just make a new thread about this. So every Friday there is a gathering at GA Tech for all sorts of fighting games, and of course MK9, and everyone is welcome to come!

Here are the details.

Georgia Tech
Location:
Christopher W. Klaus Advanced Computing Building
266 Ferst Drive; Atlanta, GA, 30332
Room # 1447 (sometimes this will change, if it does I will post in this thread and let you all know)
Time: 8pm till 3am

If you have any questions feel free to ask them here, and I will do my best to answer them in a timely fashion.

Its cool man. If you are sick stay home brother, i dont wanna catch that shit ....I was just aggravated last night cause tons of people talk about wanting to help out the community and get the game noticed... but it seems a lot of people are all bark and no bite.

Mk is still the laughing stock of the fighting game scene so we need everyones help now more then ever. Im trying my best but it seems I don't have much backup

Wouldve been there myself, but my insane work schedule prevents me from doing so.(every other friday off, and usually working overtime anyways ugh). When my schedule settles back down again, Quan Chi will definitely be in attendance. Also, since there are usually gonna be maybe 1-2 other heads with me when I do actually drive up.....I MAY be able to swing by and pick someone up if need be. But that is a big MAY. Cant and wont promise anything on that subject.

Having a shiiiiiiiiiiiiitload of trouble finding a main. Jade, Sub-Zero, and Raiden all look nice. I need to find someone to do some training mode with me, that ought to improve things a little.

If you are not a student how do you gain access? Do I have to come in with a student? Also, for those in the Augusta area, we can gather at this location on a Friday afternoon or Saturday.

To the best of my knowledge, yes, you do. I think that the room has to be rented out by a student, which is usually or always Paul from what I've gathered.

On topic: I will do anything that I can to help the scene. If someone wants to pick me up, I can provide gas money. If someone wants to meet me somewhere, I can try to find a bus route or use MARTA. Just know that I am available in the mornings, and all day on Thursday and Friday.

Play Raiden. He is too good. Though I may be up for the training mode suggestion. I work a 3/2 schedule, so my off days alternate every week, which frees up random days during the week. Could definitely be up for casuals/training.

Sounds killer sweet to me, friend. As long as it happens when I don't have to work. That could be at any sort of time. Also, yeah, I do want to play Raiden. Actually being able to do his combos is a massive ego boost, and I'm starting to get the hang of his game, although my Raiden is much more cautious than most Raidens I see.

Solid. I only have Wed off this week, so I could definitely make the drive to wherever....and I feel Raiden can be played in a variety of styles. He can rush, and can play defensive if need be. He has the tools. Im just hoping Quan doesnt get his Rune Trap patched in the future. I luvs mah Rune Traps.

I just checked my schedule. I have Wednesday and Thursday off. I thought it was Thursday and Friday. I guess that means I can't do the GA Tech thing this week, but I CAN see about having you swing by my place, or maybe we can meet somewhere.

I mean, if you have a place where we can congregate, that'd be great since my apartment is a bit of a clusterfuck right now what with the seven cats and all.

I did, but I live like an hour west(right on the ga/bama line) of ATL, and my old place got hit with Firaga haha. But seven cats? Lol awesome. I assume they are named after the seven dwarves?

Re: cats

Ah. I can understand that all too well. I work from 8pm-8am, so I know how being on your feet all day long is like. Ugh, This week is my long work week....but one has bills to pay. Though as far as wed goes, its only going to be myself, so I could come up to you if that's easier.
