I think it's ok to give props for 9th here. I mean, if people were using this to justify him being the official Zod of America or something, that'd be slightly different. But based on the fact that some people were saying he was never that good to begin with and his career was done, this is commendable and the thread makes sense.

Just to make a side note on what 'making it out of pools' talk means

Usually 'making it out of pools' means you have made top 32/16 and deserves a certain level of props that is less distinguished than making top8 which is the next tier up.

However, at this tournament (KiT) there were only 4 pools, thus 'making it out of pools' and making top 8 are synonymous. To make it out of pools here is also to make top 8 so you can't really blow him up for 'not making it out of pools' in that sense. If this were an 8 pool tournament Dave would have easily made it out.

Regardless, his Zod play was great and he classily gave respect to Pig after the mirror. Props

Pig and I made the character... together. It took lots of ass beatings from the likes of Theo, Wound Cowboy, King, etc. to figure out what works and what does not. I was very happy for him.

For one day, on one stage, you played very well good sir, and no one can take that away from you. I was extremely impressed with you, and your Zod. Good shit man. This has happened to me before. I have always attributed it to just not timing the MB version properly, but if this is true then damn. Then again, I mash my MB button when I wanna do an MB move.

Bat girl's teleport MB is a good example and an even better one is harley tantrum to cartwheel

Go to practice mode and input Harley's tantrum to cartwheel and after u input cartwheel enter random direction commands or buttons and you'll notice it makes harley roll back from tantrum and cancels the CW

When I do ZC I remove all fingers on pad and mash MB lol

That's how I confirm the MB everytime
