Understanding Doctor Fate (Video series)

Greetings,

Last night I finally was able to finish Part 1 (wasn't intending on breaking the videos apart but Dr. Fate has many different ways about him) of the series for anyone struggling to find their footing with Fate. For anyone who saw the Blue Beetle video, the production on this is very similar since people seemed to love how that was put together.

Part II will come soon and I'll post the link in this thread when it's available.

Has anyone noticed after the patch sometimes if you do f2 mb glyph the glyph won't come out but you still spend the bar??????????????

BROOO I been complaining about this and everyone always acts like I'm making shit up cuz I lost. It's the reason I dropped fate. The sad thing is that you can be full combo punished when it glitches like this.

happens when you go to mb something and your orb still exists but is off-screen. it'll mb the orb and you won't be able to see it.

That's pretty odd, myinputs are generally really clean. So is it still considered a glitch or is this a execution error? Because db2 mb is mb ank but db mb is too freeze the orb.

Itll happen to me if i input it really fast maybe I'm hitting the mb trigger before hitting 2

Tier Whore.
Fate is easily the most complex char in the game.

Using all his tools properly at the highest possible level he is prob top5.

Nah, he is definitely not top 5 but he is way better than people think he is when tools are used at there max

Where would you put him? and what are his worst MUs?

He has all tools possible, strong aas, strong defense, strong wake up/reversal, good damge etc.

Superman dicks him down, deadshot fucks him up. Supergirl also wrecks him. I'd say he is mid tier at best. For the massive skill needed to play him it's not worth to me.

input shortcuts make it happen more often - but the reasoning is that when you mb orb you only have to hit db-mb, you don't have to hit 1. So when you do db2mb, it can read as db-mb and burn the orb and cancel out your input buffer so you get either an s2 or nothing.

Hmm I think he is very fun and worth playing.

Cowboy could def make top8s with him.

I think his losing MU's are: Deadshot, Supergirl and Superman. Just 3 bad MUs. He is at least top 10. :)

Green lantern beats him. Blue beetle might sprisingly beat him. Cat woman dicks all zoners. Starfire dicks him down. Black Adam either beats him or is eqaul. I only named a few prevalent characters. Doctor fate is not top tier. Zoners never will be top tier just due to the nature of there damage. Doctor fates a Lille different since he can do a lot of chip but there are to many ways to get out of his full screen preasure in inj2 so he is no different from the rest
