I need to figure out how to get this damn MAME to work. Tells me my control thing for it isn't the recommened one. I download the comctl32.dll <-- probably not exact name, it still doesn't work.

Just buy a cheap 10-15 dollar Logitech from Wal-Mart or wherever. The pad is even better than PS2 IMO, and I (like you), am an XBL analog player.

I'm just going to use the xbox 360 controller, it's just I cant get to the keyboard settings at all.

Yeah if you can get ahold of that converter, then more power to ya. I figured I'd welcome the challenge of reprogramming my thumb's muscle memory, still the same game.
But yes, keyboard = garbage
