was it just me , or did angelo win 3 games, then wong won 3 and he had the victory? plus he paused in the middle of Mikes block string. Even then Shoutouts to Michaelangelo for letting it go and being a good person.

Mike was really cool and showed good sportsmanship in not DQ'ing Wong on the pause. It was an accident but still. I think that is really cool of him not to even make a big deal about it during or after!

Mike is def not a sore loser! sum people (not naming names) would have flipped the fuck out!

it was great seeing everyone at this event. thank you all who came out and supported. thanks to everyone who i played some MK with or talked to about MK in general.

thanks to NRS for coming out and supporting the tournament. and for being so gdlk, literally sitting down and talking with us about their game. omfg that was by far the fucking best. ^_^ such an amazing group of folks.

thanks to EVERYONE who added on to the hype for MK9 grand finals.

and last but not least...

thanks to the broken controller. cuz without you, i wouldn't realize how much more i need to improve and level up my game in MK.

turn that salt into sugar...and make victory taste sweet.

...one day. =( LMFAO!!!

This was my first tournament and it was great. Met lots of cool people include AU_Wanna_Die, Moe30w, 16 Bit, Guy in Green, Clouds, Playing to W1n, Cyan, and Michelangelo. Congrats to Michelangelo and Playing to W1n on your placement! Wish I could have made it Sunday but I was able to stay until almost 6am Saturday to Sunday anyway.

One point I'd like to make though is that I think the pause at the end of the matches between Michelangelo and Justin Wong should have played out differently. It should not be the player's choice if a violation is called or not. To me it was on Keits to say "Justin you broke the rules, you must concede the round." If you put it on the players then you have a situation where the player is forced to choose between seeming like a dick wanting to win on a technicality or being nice but losing.

Still I won't let that taint my view of it overall because it was a ton of fun and I learned a lot. Definitely going to be going to more tournaments in the future.

First of all shoutout's to Keits for showing everyone how a tournament should be ran. It was more organized then Evo. Everything ran on time and finished early leaving room for casuals/money matches.

Michaelangelo, good shit getting 4th place and for knocking me out of the tournament in 17th place (damn pool of death). It was cool meeting you. If I decide to go to Evo you can count on me to play some more late night casuals and blow up MK's tag team matches again. Next time we play I'm taking you out.

Au_Wanna_Die, thanks for streaming up in your room it made the weekend so much fun and tiring. You need to show up to some more chicago events I know this saturday this one guy is holding a bbq with casuals in all games you should go so we can play some.

16 bit, you have an amazing kitana. (Note to all: If you want to beat Kung Lao pick Kitana shit is free)

Guy in Green, it was fun having those $1 money matches even if you were using other people's money lol.
