Trailer Inside: They have called upon the NetherRealm for Support - MK Encyclopedia

*When I said NetherRealm I didn't mean the studio, I meant you, the community.* While many of you know, have heard, or are deeply involved with supporting the efforts of those involved w/ making the Mortal Kombat Encyclopedia or "Book of Remembrance" a real thing, I'm giving it a justified nudge. Their petition, which can be found here, is less than 1,000 signatures away from 9,000. Don't even mention the Wiki sites that you can visit with a few clicks... doing that would be disrespectful to these efforts. You never physically owned something that you cherished before? Especially Mortal Kombat fans... we're nuts, we love that stuff.

I'm going to leave a trailer here for you to check out, plus a few images from the project and let it do the rest of the talking for me.

I don't understand why there's a petition for this. I've been seeing this around a lot in the last 6 months or so and it seems like people are interested enough. What good is the petition though? Try starting a Kickstarter or GoFundMe so people can put their money where their mouths are and you can actually release this thing.

Sorry, but what good would be a Kickstarter there? This is only for those who develop and create, not from some third parties asking the devs. Never have seen such action like this happening. If Andrew wants to kickstart it, then it's fine to go to KS.

The thing is, WB wouldn't allow it unless they're the ones doing it -- so a Kickstarter probably isn't a wise idea.

So they're asking for WB to make it? I thought they were in the process of making it themselves and wanted support...

Edit: they should talk to WB/NRS and get an idea of the licenses they'd need to purchase and make a kickstarter to fund it. That's realistically the most likely way this will ever happen.
