yesterdays tourney REALLY pissed me off. I was really looking forward to just competing again, instead I ended up being TO amongst other things.Tom Brady
EDIT: dude, remember when you placed high at powerup 2012?? The community was soo hyped up and gave you hella props. Why the hell do you say placing high at NEC wont matter?
Remember this? --> http://www.testyourmight.com/threads/well-done-tom-brady.16114/ ---Consider it inspiration.
but tom, if mlg drops mk, Nec, final round etc. will be the tourneys to determine the best players. if you win or place top at the next tournaments they cant ta,ke that away from you even if it is an mlg that happened months ago.the support is great, but none of these performances change anything. you miss the point, when winning changes nothing then why care about it? thats the point.
in no way do I want MLG to drop MK. I'd surrender the competitor spot to cast MLG again in a heartbeat.but tom, if mlg drops mk, Nec, final round etc. will be the tourneys to determine the best players. if you win or place top at the next tournaments they cant ta,ke that away from you even if it is an mlg that happened months ago.
Thats not what I meant, but if it does happen, these other tournaments will be everyones way to compete whether we like it or not.in no way do I want MLG to drop MK. I'd surrender the competitor spot to cast MLG again in a heartbeat.
haha, super terry bros, i like it. Also yeah there are just so many good players, top 50 might not be good enough haha.IMO...
Top 3 is a lock with Jr, PL and REO. I don't know who to put where...probably REO at #1 since he's the most consistent overall.
After that, it's Pig, 16, the Super Terry Bros, Maxter, Sr, and Dizzy taking the next spots, with Max and Pig likely the top of that group.
Then after that, who fucking knows...too many good players. Hell, even our lower level players are pretty damn good. Which is good.
If they have people coming for injustice, they automatically have players for mk.On a logical look of things, mlg would be smart to keep us around because looking at the entrants and hype tekken had, they didn't compare to our tournament at all. So I plan on mk9 staying at mlg and being at a bunch of majors and injustice shall be our marvel .
I am unsure if I will compete in Injustice.. why? whats the point?Injustice will be fucking hype.

i'm going to keep it real, i dnt think we can have a definite top 3 because no one has really dominated for a whole yr straight. As we have seen at every tournament, top players who ppl think will top 8 or etc. get beat early and etc. We know who the top players are, top 3 list won't mean much when tournament results always have different ppl doing well.This.
Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I really feel anyone who doesn't have those 3 as their top 3 has a "what have you done for me lately?" attitude and merely remembers the last tournament.
Oh I agree, but for the first 6 months of 2012, CD Jr was beyond dominant, making every top 8 of every tournament, and winning a lot of them. Then you have REO, who only failed to make top 3 twice in his career, and you have PL, the two time EVO champion. So based on their accomplishment and consistency, I'm placing them as the top 3. But them being top 3 in my book does not in any way mean I don't think they can be beaten, since we've seen that happen over and over. I think the level of the top players in this game is waaaaaay to close to have any foregone conclusions. That's why I'm not basing my list on pure skill (since it's almost impossible to determine who is the most skilled as all the players are just so good), and sticking with accomplishments, and these three accomplished the most.i'm going to keep it real, i dnt think we can have a definite top 3 because no one has really dominated for a whole yr straight. agreed completely, there resumes speak for themselves and i can respect that without a doubt. I'm just glad this community is off that "one region dominates mk" stuff and know that there are great players all over the place .Oh I agree, but for the first 6 months of 2012, CD Jr was beyond dominant, making every top 8 of every tournament, and winning a lot of them. I really think that ever since MLG Anaheim, the level of the top players on average in this game has improved tremendously. There's really very little separating them. If you take REO, PL, the Dominicans, the Terry bros, Pig, Detroit, 16 bit, Dizzy and Tyrant and have them all face each other 10 times each, nobody would really stand out as having an overwhelming amount of victories more than the others.
Absolutely, that's why I singled out MLG Anaheim as a turning point for the game, since it was when everyone realized that the guys at the West Coast are godlike at this game.agreed completely, there resumes speak for themselves and i can respect that without a doubt. definitely, also GGA 16 Bit has to be a top 10 player because despite the bad mus, he is just to stubborn to not play kitana, but that stubborness has led to great things from him and we can all respect that.Absolutely, that's why I singled out MLG Anaheim as a turning point for the game, since it was when everyone realized that the guys at the West Coast are godlike at this game.
