Hmm I wasn't aware these were button sequences associated with those. Is it just something you enter after an uppercut or something? Always just thought they happened randomly after a bunch of uppercuts.

If you press the sequence after Dan Forden (Toasty Guy) pops up it will fill up your meter. You have roughly 2 seconds to do so. Uppercuts are the most common causes of Toasty, but it can be achieved with quite a few different moves, such as Kabals b121

Too bad he almost never pops up when I'm shang cuz using his uppercut is like watching trees grow, then get processed into lumber, then furniture lol
