This Is How Fatal Blows Work

I never played Injustice 2 either, so I'm learning all this new. Good to know. And it's Front Kick or "3" that you press; also good to know.

Wonder if it moves when you remap or stays the same button. Some things in the game do, and some don't.

It should move if remapped I would think?

I would think to, but not necessarily. I'll need to test.

I play with a "klassic" set up, so instead of the default 1,2,3,4, I use ,2,3,1,4. This is close to the original HP, HK, LP, LK layout of yester-year.

Ever since I returned to the franchise with Mortal Kombat (2011), sometimes I can hit "A" to navigate menus and skip stuff as the remap didn't affect things here, but other times I'll need to hit "Y" as it did. It's odd.

You know what's funny is I used to be way more used to that layout from UMK3, but now I rewired my brain to just accept the wonky buttons in this game. Lol

I'd be terrified to attempt to play UMK3 at a high level again after being balls deep in this game with its different controls.

When I first fired up Mortal Kombat (2011) on my Xbox 360, I was super surprised to find the layout was different than the klassics! I went about remapping that almost immediately, and haven't looked back.

The only grief it ever caused me was with Mortal Kombat X, as a Mileena main, I was unable to perform "Sadistic Ways" because the cross-button press just was a no-go.

Well then I guess don't worry about learning any kind of tech that will help you win matches. Why bother? Lol
This is not tech. This is button mashing for could possibly be an extra 1.5% of damage. So if I feel like button mashing then I will, but its not worth the time. If you have thousands of dollars on the line sure, go ahead button mash away.

It's quite underwhelming to see so many not knowing about the different symbols and the percentage of how much damage and defend they take during the fatal blow. Here i thought it was obvious once people found out you could increase the damage.

You time the button mash when the hit connects with the opponent. Time it perfectly and you get a blown up skull or a huge shield.

So for jax it's:

Bop... BopBopBopBopBop...
Bop... BopBopBopBopBop...
Bop... Bop

Bop = X (or A on xbox)
... = pause
Who else heard this?

I wondered what the different indicators meant. Good to know there's 3 levels.

Time to play DDR and level up my MARVELOUS game.

So many? It’s just me and juxt lol. I use fatal blows rarely and my give a fuck is busted. Juxt is Canadian who eats ketchup potato chips.

Wait what? People didn't know this? lol

You always go for the grand looking shield and the blown up skull... you time it on the hits. Which makes jax's fatal blow really fun. lmao
link me to the thread with the button break down / the damage breakdown the offense defense shield / skull breakdown .... i knew to mash during super since inj but have never quite seen the breakdown ... link me i would love to see it in someone elses words

I thought it was known. I discovered that in lab and thought it was quite obvious since there are multiple defense icons.
where are the obvious link at lmao ... i just want to see the breakdown .. maybe im slow i get it .. but where are the tuturials for this at ? we all knew to mash x where is the breakdown of this at ? they have three different damage timings ? and three defensive timings ?

We learned it by playing the game.

You can easily see multiple different indicators during the game and if you ever pay attention to the damage numbers for a fatal blow, you would have noticed that the skulls that look completely blown apart are the most damage and that this happen when you hit right when the move connects with the opponent.

There's no breakdown or tutorial. I just figured people would have learned that by now. I'm definitely not a lab monster and even I figured it out.

But back on topic, has anyone confirmed what the max increase is? Is it really around 1.5% tops? If both players nail perfect timing does it always just do normal damage?

It's basic Lay's BBQ I have at home right now. Fritos BBQ is also great. Surprisingly, Dollarama's brand of BBQ chips (and espeically their Ketchup) are really good.
You know what, I like where this is going. When I was in Uni I did my grocery shopping at Dollarama cause I was broke.

FBs in this game feel like they come from Dollorama.

Hey man, Dollarama has stepped up their game, and they actually have some pretty decent stuff. We have one right next to the office. Everyone comes back with chips, candy, etc constantly now.
