The Official MKXL Complain/Rant Thread

After playing Scorpion quite some time, I think that his hellfire variation needs a bit of a nerf
Packing a character with ranged mid, ranged overhead, ranged mid snare/pull, ranged low snare, teleport, and over half screen reach Xray is a bit much.
Yes I understand that these are unsafe moves. Most of the cast has unsafe moves but not 3 of them are starters for 30%+ damage meterless combos
Not to mention how easy it is to perform these 30%+ combos(ridiculously easy).

So far I've only played with characters that have 3-4 specials and maybe MAYBE 1 of those would be a starter to a 30%+ combo.
Scorpion has 5 specials and 3 of them are 30%+ combo starters and 1 of them is a low

I began playing this game with scorpion, but after a while I got completely bored of him and even felt cheap at times.

Just my opinion

Cory, Trevor, smokes. Let's go.
My only true complaint.

Why...... on god's green earth....... do i have to not only LET GO OF BLOCK to tech a throw...... BUT ALSO GUESS THE DIRECTION?

why?
While I 75% agree with this, it's not too difficult to guess the direction when fighting a competent player, it really depends on where you're at compared to the corner. Releasing block though, that's been my biggest challenge w/ tech throw, for sure.

My biggest complaint are the stages. 8/10 of them are boring as hell, I hate having to pick a stage before fighting just because of the interactable stuff, and I reaaaally hate it when P2 chimes in and random's a map right after I did the exact same thing, so now we have to wait a full 2 seconds just to continue on with the match. Petty and salty, sure, but I don't have any other real issues with the game, and anything I had an issue with was simply because I wasn't used to the new mechanics.

I gotta say this is a serious complaint of mine. Not boring stages, but no Pit? Really? It's probably going to be DLC or something. :(

That's Inferno.
Yes, I know it's not constructive on my part. Never did I pretend otherwise :p

Make the netcode better. Everything else about the online is irrelevant if it's this laggy d2 dropped every juggle can't punish -17 fest.

Give me ONE good reason why there's a win/loss record and a fucking leaderboard for player match.

One hour. For a whole fucking hour I've been going through tons of potential matches and getting declined in all of them because their win odds are so low against me. Even the people with good records and good connections automatically decline because they don't want to ruin their record.

Does NRS even know what the point of player matches are? Seriously, why is there a leaderboard for a mode you can continuously rematch in? This is ruining my online experience more than the netcode due to the fact that I can't even get a single match because people are too worried about their records in an "UNRANKED" gametype.

It can't just be me, is anyone else going through the same bullshit as I am?

Online douchebags only care about their ego and W/L. It tricks them into thinking they're good when they're ass.

The odds was a terrible idea considering the majority of online community is salty, it deters people from playing and makes matchmaking suck.

Falls down too much
You think that's bad? I end up getting wins when I'm declined so now I'm 14/0. No one will accept challenges. :/
You seriously get wins when people decline you? LOL I have 400 player matches played so far and I didn't know that. Do you get a loss if you decline?

You know me as RisingShieldBro online.

No I get nothing lol. But when I get a disconnect I get a win too.

I've always felt the same way. Tracking W/L ratio in a gametype where you can beat down the same noob 100x in a row makes the ratio meaningless. And on the other side of the same coin, it would be nice if you could try out new characters and have it not affect your ratio, because then some good players might not want to play you. The fact that companies feel the need to have stat tracking in every game type has always been stupid.

If MKX had that KI netcode, I'd agree, as KI in the Killer division does best 2 out 3, but I agree; I would hate 2 out of 3 with this infuriating lag-fest.

That defeats the point of a ranked match. That's what Player Matches are for.

I'd rather them fix the stupid fucking "CONNECTING TO ONLINE" nonsense that happens after EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. The only time it doesn't do that is if you rematch during a Player Match.

Oh, and fix the "READING STATS DATA" shit too. -.-
No it doesnt..it would just make life easier..if you wanted to continue playing scrubs in ranked you just say..no.

if you enjoyed playing someone you found in ranked maybe with a feature like this you could rematch into a player match without having to: quit out..'connecting to online'...open xbone friends..search player...'hey 1v1s'...'sure inv'...go to player match..go back to xbone and search player..send invite...

I think it would overly complicate things for the online infrastructure if you could opt to rematch after a ranked match and make it switch over to a player match. Ranked matches have always been like this and will probably continue to remain that way because that's how they function.
