This thread needs some mega-bumping.....
@YOMI REO has really hit the nail on the head of one of the worst aspects of the NRS scene... Just look at the Stream Chat from the Patch Demo and the screen is just a constant flood of "rip <character name>" or "GG <character name>". I mean, even while explaining the BUFFS to Hat Trick, the stream chat is still complaining he is been nuffered to death.
There is a tendency on TYM to be a little reactionary. A great example for me is Tanya. She was hit pretty hard with the nurff hammer but guess what, she is still pretty frick'n good. Getting high placing at Viennality and Sonic even winning multiple high level matches with her at Evo. Summoner Quan was another one. Triborg was another one. All those characters have viable variations and have all recently had great showings at majors. Regardless of what you think, they are NOT trash.
So everyone take a breath, take a step back and give some time to the game again and let it breath. This is a huge patch and some massive changes and that is jarring, but anyone claiming a character is "dead" only a few hours after the notes and not even getting to play the game once, or even any thread in the 1st week or so are just not worth listening to.
