The "I'm learning a new character so cut me some slack thread"

I hate playing new characters against randoms, I will never play characters I'm currently learning with randoms...I will gladly get blown up and learn while playing mature, solid players, otherwise I just play Stryker or one of my other people against randoms. I don't feel like hearing, "lol your Shang Tsung sucks".

Also, lol @Dat pick up.

Speaking of which, I need to learn Sindel so that I can troll with dat weave of hers.

Sektor gets good damage, easy zoning, missile pressure set-ups and baddass mutherfuckery all round. Plus, Flamethrower is an epic, grounding your opponent to prevent that oki nonsense and maintaining pressure, AND a good AA...geezus lol. But his strings are short ranged and whiff alot on crouch, and apparently Human Sektor is weaker, which is not cool (i want to play human but maximizze my potential as well).

Kitana is a babe. Amazing air control that would match my Kung Lao excellently. Good damage and mixups; you can end all blockstrings with cutter which is great. Ridiculous range on her strings and pokes, iafans that lead to big combos fullscreen (i need to get used to it though). But her combos are harder to execute, she has no armor and and no wake-up game.

Thoughts/opinions?

I try to learn a character based on what has caught my eye on TYM that day. I've been using Jax (getting my ass kicked), Nightwolf (keep dropping the combos cos online is shite), im very ordinary with all the cast tho. I do wish I could use Kabal with his NDC but im just not quick enough AWWW.

I already mained Liu Kang for a while, but i got bored of his lack of focused playstyle. He can zone, he can pressure, he can bait and punish, but he doesn't do any of that very well. Maybe better pressure, but hey i got Kung Lao and his 24 low hat for that;)

D4 low hat actually. You also forgot spins to end all blockstrings, random divekicks and teleports. After you got all that down, you've mastered him. :cool:

Don't end a blockstring with spin unless you hit confirm it. Sure fire way to get blown the hell up right there.
