Zoning should never win you a tournament by itself. The fact this guy thinks only zoning should be enough to win and if it isnt then the games zoning is dead, thats a laughable concept. Truth is the entire MK community is on blast cause you all had this scrub finish top 8 at evo in your game.

Zoning have become irrelevant in Injustice, specially with the inclusion of the last two DLC characters. They have such a powerful anti-zoning game, characters that relay in projectile specials can't even try to use these tools because they get heavily punished on block, fullscreen.

Slips works for NRS. He had the patched version of the game for at least a month before UFGT.

I have to say no to this. Someone who has played the game at the highest level on the biggest stage should be looking to overcome and lead.. Not bitch and segregate. I see this forum as a means of the WHOLE community to come together and learn, play, enjoy.. From the 20 yr veteran, down to the just played my first online game newbie. I just don't see how "sound advice" comes in the form of "learn to dash and block, it's sooo easy", and how "DS was nerfed, he is not tournament viable, scorpion/batgirl are released now zoning is dead" are considered knowledge?

Anyone who goes to play the game at the highest level, on the biggest stage, then comes to this ill turnip farm of a forum and acts like THIS.. Should not be listened to or acknowledged, or accepted.. In this instance and I am not judging on any MK matters, just what I have seen from IGAU, I see a very insecure man, acting like a child and hiding behind "merits and accomplishments" and "his click" in the community (cause lets face it.. THEY are all that matters).

This is the veteran we want teaching our new players and our source for inspiration and advice? Sorry Tim.. I have to side with Circus on this.. It's a cancer and that is never a good thing.

Admittedly, he is a bad character who lacks tools. If you want to address this issue in another thread, you are welcome to do so. I would support more buffs for Bane. A fighting game with more viable characters is a more interesting fighting game.

Theres no dhalsim/guile in this game where they are just walk back tanks, they pretty much all have tools to use in all ranges.

Tell me one character whose entire strategy, every single move somehow relates to the concept of zoning. Even Sinestro has stuff like arachnid and air rising axe, and deathstroke has his 50/50s and all. Zoning in this game is a crutch, and not a strong one. Some people have better tools to zone with, but no one can be called a conventional zoner.

Maaaaaaaan, Mk community is not on blast, zoning in Mk9 was insane (Kenshi, Freddy) but thankfully people found how to deal with it, problem was that they knew nothing about Freedy at that moment.

I wouldn't say a bad character. A slow character who needs an AK-47, but bad? Not at all, he is an underpowered character and that's all.
I can agree, I don't care about the "bottom to top tier list" because SOMEONE has to be on the bottom and top. More viability for everyone is better than viability for some.

Cyborg.

Cyborg has a command grab, the uppercut, he has some strong zoning but he wouldn't have the strings he does if he were meant to only zone. Deathstroke's 231 string has more "zoning" in it than pretty much all of Cyborg's kit.

Or do you feel Morrigan is a conventional zoner because of soul fist? Because anyone can tell you shell kick makes her hella rushdown.

I didn't come in here to solely troll a user. We're barely getting to the two month mark in Injustice. There's only been a couple of majors. The fact that m2dave, who's already gone on record as to saying Slade would never Top 8 in Injustice again after the nerfs only for it to happen at the very next major, has the audacity to come back in after he happens to have to deal with a new counter pick and declare the death of zoning because apparently none of them are worth it anymore? It's pathetic. The fact that he's a veteran who's played at the highest level makes it even worse. How does someone who play constantly with the best have absolutely no determination? No desire to actually grind things out? Why is it that his first response, his first thought process is to come online and whine about it?

I'm not as talented as a lot of people at the highest levels, don't have the same opportunities to consistently play with the best and I don't get the same benefit of the doubt when I say a single thing. I have to make up for that by grinding day in and day out, and every second I'm not grinding, I'm researching. I'm learning the data, I'm watching the matchups from many different players. And I NEVER assume I have completely figured out a character or a game, because as I've learned day in and day out, you will learn something new every day. The fact that people, high level or not, have the arrogance to believe that they have such a command and intelligence level to immediately dissect a game and decide if something isn't viable, or if the game is even quality or not disgusts me, and I take it as a direct insult.

Telling me to find the door? Maybe he should, because he obviously has absolutely no desire to put in the work. The fact that I go as hard as I can, as long as I can when it comes to discovering a game and grinding, and then see people FAR more talented than me whine is the ultimate disappointment.

So give me shit about my disgusting attitude, or my apparent trolling problem, I don't care. Some other mod can kick me off the board, I don't care. I'll still be doing what I do, grinding this game and any other I enjoy as hard as I can. It's unfortunate though that threads like these are allowed to live. It certainly saddens me that a lasting image for plenty of newer players from around the world who want to come and play this game will be of a lot of top players constantly acting like 5 year olds when something doesn't go their way.
