The Death of Zoning in Injustice: GAU

Sure, I'll agree zoning was a little too prevalent in certain instances with certain characters. However its taken a quantum leap in the other direction now making a sweeping annihilation of pretty much all zoning with two characters. Zoning absolutely has its place in games and adds several layers of play with it. It brings setups, different play styles, forced playstyles and all sorts of middle ground. Seemingly right now that aspect has pretty much been eviscerated by two characters.

Now that said, notice I used the word seemingly. I am willing to wait and see what happens because its simply too early to tell but nothing the OP said is overly outlandish. Personally I can't see how this hasn't caused an enormous dent in the game. Again though, I am not so smug as to not realize someone else might figure it out and pass on the knowledge from there.

Time will tell.

But lets take a second to realize brother, This game had stronger rush down in the beginning of the game! its just that us players are developing at higher level play, and some of us are given weaker rush downs.

You have to be a pretty BAD player to lose to zoners in Injustice with characters like Batgirl and Scorpion in the game. even my grandma can punish fireballs on reaction with those two

1: I don't know dave or anything about him so I can't say much on that. I'm pretty new here.

2: I'm not sure who you main but my previous argument (pertaining to zoning) was it was too prevalent in the game. Now irony has seen fit to put me on the other side of the coin. I think things needed to be reworked slightly but it seems its been utterly crushed now. Time will tell though.

3: I simply agree for the most part.

Scorpion only came out yesterday so hopefully I should have better luck with them now, I did use batgirl a little but she was kind of boring where as scorpion is a total and utter certified BADASS.

Shazam has it easier then 80% of the cast vs zoners with that FULLY INVINCIBLE wake up teleport that goes through any thing once you get it started

Yeah wake up teleport doesn't get you far at full screen!
he still has to wiggle his way in REALLY FUCKING CLOSE to do anything and hope he doesn't get hit back to full screen, he can lose quite a bit of life bar from there before he's in, AT is risky to throw out aswell because alot of people can Full combo punish it if, So our options are limited, it's all about dash blocking correctly then on, and top zoners *No matter how bad zoning is now* can read when you'll be vulnerable.

No, I'm content i'm not about to make threads and threads about how hard it is, I'll either try harder or when i realise some characters are too difficult for my skill level then yes I will use scorpion, I knew he was going to be an alt from since he was rumored and his gameplay supports it.
It doesn't go half screen when they can hit you with projectile at the end unless you block and then they can just back dash so the distance isn't that much less than before teleport.

SF zoning: Fireballs are effective enough to win a match themselves ONLY if combined with intelligent spacing in a battle for ground with changing variables. Fireballs are mostly a compliment to the foot game and must be interspersed with movement and ground pokes or you are dead.

NRS games were built for aggression, its obvious. MK9 would have been much better if certain characters could not throw anything or the projectile otherwise toned down. In a game that is so aggressive otherwise, its retarded to see Kenshi or Noob doing NOTHING but throw shit. It makes the game look retarded and frankly as strategically interesting as killing an ant colony by shoving a hose down the entrance and turning the water on. Sure it works but any semi-conscious ape could do it. Its obvious that NRS doesn't know what they are doing with projectiles and should scrap the just tape the button down zoners like Stroke and Sinestro. Having to fuck their frames up so much just shows they know what is going on. If Sinestro had plus on his shit he'd be like a redfaced, yellow long shaft dildo in the hands of rampaging King Kong.

Having to tap the forward button on your movement option is not "struggling". Your character has a good dash, teleport, and jumping 2. And maybe you shouldnt write that "im not about to write how bad my character has it" in some posts so players dont think you're referring to shazam? Just a top

Yeah cause seeing Kabal block inf you up close with 999 normals cancelled into a special over and over, seeing Cage players spam f3 over and over, seeing Kung Lao fly all over the screen and check you with jabs constantly, seeing Sonya lock you in frame traps from sweep with d4~ms was so AWESOME and FUN to watch.

Yeah thats why all these zoning characters like Sinestro Cyborg and Deathstroke have been winning majors. We dont see Batmans Supermans Black Adams Green Arrows DoomsDays etc. rushdown mix up characters winning tournament majors. /Sarcasm
