I play keep away with Grundy, primarily doing damage from Wingdings, EX Wingdings, and Ground Spark.

You'd probably be better off in Staff honestly.

I agree with saitsu . Wingding and groundspark have there uses but there start up and recovery keep them from being real zoning tools. Personally I've been using these in real outta the box ways. I've been using wingdings to delay my landing as to hop safely over things like supermans eye lasers. And I pretty m7uch only use ground spark for the cancel. Or mid screen meaty on wake up attacks. (I do 33db2 backdash cancel , and if they pushed a button I punish with b2 for a full combo, or if I land a far sweep I do a meaty ground spark , it will trade with hals ring toss. And does 8% as opposed to the 1% I take)

Hi guys, Posting to say I've decided to main nightwing. I also use green lantern as well and I noticed many of you are saying you struggle with this MU. Im no Arturo but if you need a green lantern to spar with i'm more than happy to do so. Also, not sure if this has been brought up but I like to mix up some lows including U3D3 and B13. and use his B2 (fast overhead). After B2 you can staff cancel into staff spin.

You mean after B2 on block? because after you land a B2 You can do 3xxKalifury, J3, Wingdings for more damage. On block i find myself doing B2xx Ground Spark Or B2xx Flip kick, hella scrubby but people like to press buttons after a couple of blocked B2's.

nothing scrubby about b2 flip kick. safe and is a double overhead. people naturally want to hold DB after blocking so this punishes that. i will say watch it with the cancels outta b2, most can be d1'd or are unsafe on block

also anybody been using the flying grayson to counter air fireballs ? ive started doing this and i find it very affective in certain matches

Set up oki with a tk wingdings depending on the character's wakeup game..

you do lol. poor move has sooooo much recovery , but its a great litmus test to see if the opponent knows dick. keep spamming till they show they can beat it

What can Nightwing do against backdashes?
In his staff he can do his Staff Blast on a read, but what can he do in Escrima stance?

b2 is great at catching backdash if the opponent is close
or you can do go for a f3 if you do it on advantage

I've done B2 if within range, invincibility made it whiff.
What about if the opponent is in B2 range and backdashes?

depends on MU.

If it's a "space control" character like GL or Raven, be defensive. If not, try using WingDings or Ground Spark to check them

Well, you have to time it well (and so is your opponent)
If your opponent was able to backdash your b2, it's because you attacked too early
He may be able to backdash a f3 if his timing is good

If you want a 100% sure to catch back dash attack, then go fo ground spark, but the risk&reward sux

Thanks guys, it was against Aquaman that I was having trouble.
Liked mixing it up by jumping or backdashing, could read it a lot of the time but I don't know what to do yet.

Well, yeah normal, Canon Damian Wayne is fine...well, and dead but that's beside the point. Regime Nightwing is the bastard Damian Wayne. To use him is a betrayal of Dick Grayson and a betrayal of Earth-1 Damian Wayne.
