The key here is the first and last lines. Being 'black or maybe white' seems to be an obvious nod to Green Lantern, as is the phrase 'I've got plenty of light'. But what tips you off to this NOT being Green Lantern is that Green Lantern stands for order, not opposes it. The person in question is The Joker. "Pall bearer? Me? No." is a reference to Batman #17 a death in the family, in which Joker takes center stage. Since his identity is never revealed in the comics, it is not clear what the Joker's real name or race (and therefore complexion) is, since his face is painted white. He shuns the 'dark'(knight) and finds order 'trite', as he is the clown prince of crime and chaos. The answer is none other than Mr. bottom tier himself.
