With the major announcement of EVERYBODY IS HERE at E3, this is the biggest roster ever! Nintendo has outdone themselves again with Super Smash Bros Invitational to showcase new stages, characters, and new items at high level play. Release date of December 7, 2018 is COMPLETE HYPE! What are your thoughts on this game ?Question mark?

Let's discuss :l:qtl:cool::qtr:r

Anyone know were the tournament was streamed? I need some archives real bad

My boo, our Goddess Palutena has a parry now!? It's over, I can't wait. Up Smash all day son.

Can't wait to play some old favorites again (pokemon trainer, Roy), and I'm hype some of my new friends are returning (Sonic, LIttle Mac, Palutena, Rockman). There isn't a bigger mega man fan on this site so I'm psyched to see him back, but I wouldn't mind a tune up of his move set.

TYM's #1 L taker.
I wasn't a fan on brawl and grabbed the 3DS version but skipped the Wii U, but this new game looks great.

Samus main here, but might give Ridley a go this time.
One thing they don't have that I wanted was an alternate choice for Samus's Super metroid Varia suit, not a fan of Other M or the smooth rounded Shoulders.

Yeah, instant Ridley main as soon as I saw that reveal. And I thought nobody was going to replace Snake/Cloud/Yoshi for me. I was talking with a friend about it as I watched it, saying how I was going to have to choose between Cloud and Snake...and then Ridley happened, and my world changed forever.

Time to get a switch
That's exactly what I said. I don't have to worry about it until December, but it's going to happen.

I currently JUST bought part 4 like a month ago. And coming from a major fan of the franchise, this cast is the best BUT....part 4 feels awkward as fuck. Smash should never be this damn technical with pivots, backward pivots, up tilt, down tilt all this technical jargon that doesn't make the game fun to me. And its waaaay slower that what im used to.

By looking at the new game, it seems they up the speed and simplified some control schemes which is RIGHTEOUS! So im very looking forward to this game!

Smash was always technical, though :)

To an extent, yes. But it got REEEEEEALY technical in part 4.
Melee is arguably more technical than sm4sh in a lot of ways, though. Wave dashing, L cancelling, etc were all removed after melee to close the gap between the pros and casuals.

Perfect pivoting is similar, sure. It's just not nearly as in-depth or useful as wavedashing was in melee. I suppose some characters like Fox still retain certain uses for it in combos, but meh. You don't gain nearly as much utility from the pivot. Wavedashing is almost mandatory at a competitive level because of how drastically it alters gameplay, while perfect pivoting is essentially just about the micro spacing.

I have the 3ds version, not the wii u version. If you have the 3ds, we definitely need to play.

Damnit, i have wii u :(

Yo that 2v2 match that ended with the Plup vs. Armada 1-stock.. Dope
I need to re-look at that match again, but i remember Snake against Sheik and THAT was insane! He proved that he even looks BETTER than he did before. Seeing the old Pokemon Building stage from the 64 remastered looks AMAZING! This game looks like theres been alot of care in this game.

But im looking at Armada's review video on what he thought of the characters he played. And VERY shocking to hear that he said Fox is one of the worst characters in this build so far.....FUUUUUCK! I love Starfox :(

STILL Broke! Ugh....I know i just dabbled in part 4, but already have a major headache with that bitch. I hope they adjust her in some way.
My Sonic will be waiting for every one of you fools to face him in Smash 4 or Ultimate, preferably Ultimate.

This will be almost too easy. :D
HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER! Well, sir, looking forward to it ;)

But SPEAKING of SONIC.....SonicFox just challenged the best player in Smash, ZeRo, and was given 3 months to prepare. MAN O MAN do i LOVE the FGC!!!
