Tech Stryker Combo Thread (Videos & Notations)

Had a long look and there are 4 corner combos that I would like added.

b32, 12, gun shot, 12, 12, grenade which does 42% (45% with jip)

b2f2, 12, 12, gun shot, 12, grenade which does 39% (42% with jip)

b122, njp, 12, 12, gunshot, 12, grenade which does 39% (42% with jip)

b122, jump forward kick, 12, 12 gun shot, 12, grenade which does 41% (44% with jip. Combo is strict and not easy to hit consistently I would recommend using other b122 combos unless you practice this alot or you have good execution.)

Back 1, 2, 2, (1)2, gun shot, 1,2, EX gun shot, 1,2, roll toss - 46% (49% with JIP)
Back 1, 2, 2, (1) 2, gun shot, 1,2, EX gun shot, 1,2, EX gun shot, down 2 - 50% (53% with JIP)

they are two combos on DoctrineDark's video's that i've finally gotten consistently. Really good and highest damaging combos i've ever seen.

Very nice, they havve been added. To clarify, the parenthesis around the 1 equals it whiffs correct? I'm fairly certain, but want to double check :).

hey, how useful would this ant-air x-ray combo be? I was messing around in training mode and got this. Wondering if anyone thinks it could be practical:

gun shot, 1, 2, X-ray - 47%

It seems like it would be amazing to win the match with the unbreakable damage, is it difficult to land or is it very situational?

It's not that difficult to land. Honestly, I caught the guy mid-air and hit it accidentally in a match. Went back into training mode and hit it midscreen my first 3 of 4 times.

Been lookin through your guides brushing up on my jade and stryer... Your vids and threads are MAD helpful.

One thing thats throwin me off though man, can you list the dash inputs when you have the time? I know it's tedious but it's confusing me in some spots

Cool, glad to hear you're exploring them again :). I should have some new content for my Stryker guide over the next couple weeks so stay posted, Jade too actually.


Most of those combos I didn't personally submit, so I'm not 100% sure on the dashing for all of them, but I'll update the ones I know well with dash inputs some time soon.

In a couple weeks, I'll add the others after double checking stuff most likely.


College and other MK related projects/testing I'm working on right now for Stryker and Jade.

Difficult Jump Kick combo: JK, dash, 1~gunshot, dash, d4, roll toss (27%)

Not a practical combo, more swag. Timing is strict and don't think it can be done from all distances. I thought it was easier doing jump over kicks.

Stryker buffs:
Roll Toss being a combo starter. Essentially, he'd have a nomad dash, that is uncancellable, and leads to bigger damage. Keep armor when meterburned.
A good overhead starter?
Low gunshots?

Low gun shots would be nice.

What he really needs is his mids to be a reasonable speed and the frame gaps in his strings removed. Back 1 should be 13 frames and a mid.

Back 2 should be a 15 frame mid with no gap.

Back 2,3 should be 15 frames (no gap either. Liu Kang has a ten frame low starter that combos for big damage so this seems perfectly fair to me).

Roll toss being an almost full screen armored combo launcher seems to be too much. If he had low guns like you mentioned plus fast and gap free strings strings he'd be great.


He has good tools like ex roll toss, gun shot, down 2, good pokes etc, but he just lacks in other areas which is why he's bad.

I also wouldn't mind some frame advantage on his gun cancels for pressure, I'd prefer that over getting an overhead.
