St. Louis, MO - We Play MK!?

This thread is for players in St. Louis, MO (Illinois players are always welcome too!). The first page will be a list of players, venues that we use for tournaments, hook ups, etc.

Does MO have any kind of scene for MK? Right now I play Brawl competitively, but I got MK last week and it's pretty fun so I was thinking about expanding. Do you guys ever have get-togethers or whatever, or do people mostly practice this game online? I'm not really used to playing any games that actually have decent online, lol.

We do have hook ups every now and then (I sometimes hold grind sessions on the weekend). And yes, STL seems to like MK9, so we'll definitely be playing it.

Cool, you'll have to post on here when you have you gatherings. Me and my roommate are both hella bad right now, but I think we're both interested in learning. How many people usually show up to local tournaments?

The next tournament will be in two weeks (On a friday), so that'll give you and whomever else wants to come out the chance to plan ahead.

I am usually off on fridays, give me some more info, location, time, fees...Is this going to be ps3 or xbox or both??

The thread in my signature has all of the information. It'll be on 360 only. Yesterday, we didn't have Quan Chi or Cyber Sub-Zero, but we should at the next one.

Keep in mind Xbox versions won't be getting the updates that are upcoming either on their hard drive. So the xbox's either need to be connected to the internet or we need PS3's with the update versions.

Does your controller have to be wired? I only have wireless.
I am looking into a Madcatz SF fightpad which are wired, but they have turbo right? Are these allowed?

I can't make it out this friday but am definitely planning on the next one!
