I love the video, but do you really think someone shouldnt take something because a company is gaining something greater than what they're giving you? If they weren't planning on making any money off of you, than it would be considered charity.
What this guy is saying is that his following is priceless and under estimated by these big companies. The FGC is so small right now there's nothing someone can gain by themselves other than a few extra bucks selling shirts. In order for this community to be "profitable" it needs to do ALOT of growing. Fighting games are just a tiny fraction of the video game world...a tiny tiny fraction. Right now I think it's all about fun, but I don't think anyone in this community should be discouraged or advised against taking an opportunity offered to them. Something is better than nothing right?
