Soul Calibur 6: THE SOUL STILL BURNS!

SC6 Battle Director Comment:

Zasalamel is an easy to use all-rounder who can attack with a wide ranged scythe that can pull the opponent towards him. For SC6, he can conjure up black magic attacks to 'curse' the opponent. From there, he can stop time to allow attack openings.

Ivy is a fighter wielding her blade that can extend. By charging her attack buttons, she can change the shape of her weapon to strike the opponent over a large distance. SC6 adds a long range command throw in addition to her deadly up close ones.

I love both of these characters I'm so glad they were revealed. I was jumping around like a dumbass at work when I saw the tweet.

The Ivy bit is interesting... So is she gonna play more like her SCI/SCV self? I did see that stance grab from SCIV. I wonder what's up with her command grabs too since the input change.

Saw the trailers for both online and OH MY SWEET GURKENS both characters look so damn good! Not changing Ivy's style at all is Bandai Namco's way of saying, "Fuck the critics! We're doing what we want to do!" And the bitch is BAD! All that titty meat ;)

Zas....WOOOO OOOOO His stop time powers are RIghteous as fuck! It seems every character reveal we get, the better they start to look. Seems we're getting character reveals every month up until launch whenever that is. My soul is ready!

Fujin!
I want to learn how to play Soul Calibur before 6 comes out, and I can play IV/Broken Destiny and II right now. The problem is that I can barely find any resources for IV other than some really old combo videos. No character tutorials.

I can find some character tutorials for II because Avoiding The Puddle has some videos on his channel about it when the HD version was coming out (I think). Other than that, not much either it seems.

I was wondering if anyone knows of (and can link) any good resources to learn SC? Also which game should I learn first? I keep hearing how VI plays like the older games, but I'm also seeing stuff about how it has returning mechanics from V (which had a lot in common with IV I believe). I just don't know where to start.

It doesn't really matter what game you start with considering each Soulcalibur game is pretty different, but personally I would recommend SCV. The basics pretty much stay the same.... or SCIV since some characters seem to take a lot from that game.

SCVI will have the most changes, so be aware of B throws now being tied to 4A+G instead of B+G.

Thanks, guys! I'll try to learn IV and I will check out 8WayRun!

What is "SP content" ?
"SP" stands for Single Player, he basically means the single player content, and he's right. Fighting Games should have that as well, and I do have my worries considering what Bamco has done with both Tekken 7 and DBFZ in that regard. Yes they still do have something to offer in that regard, but not that much. Hopefully it will change in SC6.

Oh, I definitely agree. Weapon Master was soo fun in Soul Calibur 2; they really had something special there, but then they abandoned it.
