I feel like you’re underrating Raphael post nerf, the character definitely got hit by nerfs but his iprep is still strong and his buttons are still really good. Tira seems about right, Jolly feels sooo much better to use post patch though, I love it.

Iprep is still good, but the prep itself is nothing more than a gimmick, and his horizontals suck. I see him as just a punisher now, but that's it.

If he loses the life lead you can step anything he has with range, so his neutral is kind of weak and has to rely in bait and punish. It's not terrible and I still consider him viable, but it's still not great for sure.

His Horis aren’t good but they’re not terrible and iirc 6b iprep is still +2 and prep A is i14 so it will catch steps and trade with or beat most moves, it will lose to some AAs obviously but since prep auto high crushes and B is i10 you can beat them there, and if you read a step anyways most characters can’t beat out SE A.

If anything, what sucks about the Raphael nerfs is how hard they hit his lows, AG AB, and how WR BB went from borderline OP to not good.

Btw, who do you like to play? I’m always curious to see who everyone enjoys using.

Iprep is good, but as I said the prep itself sucks. Sure prepA will catch steppers and prepB will beat buttons, but you are not supposed to do any of that: if Raphael does A just high crush his AB, worse case scenario he does AA, you get hit for like no damage and his pressure is over. Similarly if Raphael does B just step to his left after BB: if he does BBA you get hit for nothing and his pressure is done, if he does BBB or BB(hold) you punish him with a full combo.

Worse case scenario if you respect his iprep too much, Raphael can SE off of it and mix you up, but to do that he needs to read you doing absolutely nothing. Which honestly unless he got in prep with 66B+K, which is very plus, that's quite the hard read.

Anyway I'm an Azwel player, poor me. While you play... Taki?

Tira and Raphael, and I feel for you, Azwel has gotten a list of nerfs in every patch.

Also, I agree with a lot of what you said here, just one small thing, I think prep AA is pretty good when it hits, it’s +6 on NH on a character with fast buttons, so it doesn’t end his pressure. although it was better overall when his B2 was still +4 on hit, his pressure was pretty dumb then.

I'm a loyalist, I don't think I'll ever drop Azwel. I do have pockets in Maxi and Raphael though, and I plan on learning Yoshi soon enough too.

Regarding Nightmare I play some people that are quite damn good with him, and he's super annoying, which honestly does seem to be your archetype. :DOGE

Oh you know me so well lol. Then its DONE! After my run with Groh will be Nightmare! Question is, when i do this tomorrow, will you join my stream for the shits? ;)

Was watching Jon Nitti's stream and he was showing off the armor pieces. And I have to say, I am very satisfied on how they're looking thus far! I see Tira got her SC5 outfit back, Astroth got his SC1 outfit, the denim outfit looks badass, etc etc. Love love LOOOOOVING it! I wanna see more female dresses tho, but its only a taste of what we will get. Excited nonetheless :)

The feathers have my interest. I do hope it all helps make it feel like there are more and better options. I feel like I'm just doing the ame looks over and over now.
