Question So this game has trades but do air grabs have priority over jump in attacks?

Sometimes I'm doing air grabs, they appear like they got grabbed but I'm also getting hit too so it doesn't complete the grab. Unlike MK9 style I go to air grab someone with Jax or Sheeva, once the grabbing animation connects that's it. Is it just because of the angle they are coming in because it pretty much works just overhead not really in front of you?

As a quick second question, does air grab work decently against crossover attempts?

Yeah it's because of the upward angle of Air Snatch. Also it can grab crossups its just depends on how deep it is
