Sky drop

I main Kitana, and I've had this happen a few times now.

Quan does his Sky Drop and I anticipate it so I block, but he appears NEXT to me instead of hitting and then being in spin. A few times he's landed in front of me.

Whats the deal? Anyone else had this happen?

Whats the deal? Anyone else had this happen?

Quan Chi can hold forward or backward during his Sky Drop to decide where he lands. Try mixing up your reaction to Sky Drop instead of just blocking. Try dashing forward or back. Does your character have any good anti-air? A lot of anti-air attacks (even some uppercuts!) can hit him while he drops.

OK, didn't realize that. I'll try dashing, but seems like the options will make it difficult to counter this successfully.

I'm pretty sure when he whiffs the drop you have the advantage.

Quan Chi can't move or act for a while when he whiffs Sky Drop. Also, crouch-blocking blocks his neutral and forward Sky Drops (with some characters?).
