Should ComboBreaker expand the auction event?

The popularity and cash pool for the auction event is getting bigger every year.

Would there be any interest in expanding this to a "real" event. Make it proper double elimination and full sets per match. Or maybe single elimination but 3/5 or 1 game and done but 4 or 6 rounds.

The exact format is for discussion... I'm not suggesting a format.

I'm just thinking the money is getting so big and the hype is strong.. Maybe creating a proper character locked event might be sweet. I mean we are getting 200+ already.. Imagine what cash pool would run for this idea if it was expanded.

Big part of it's charm is the volatility, less people would be willing to put this amount of money and we would have less blowups/gimmicks if it wasn't single elim best of 1.

A big part of the appeal is that it isn’t a “real” event. Making it a double elimination, 3/5, what the fuck ever event would take up to much time, resources, & make it a bit of a slog.
